My son has gone through two workers there and neither did anything for him, other than blame him for everything and make him feel bad about himself. He doesn't even live in Placer County anymore, but Aida still hasn't transferred his case to the other county. As if she just wants to keep tormenting him!

ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY, RUDE, AND THEIR STAFF HAS NO CLUE WHAT THEY ACTUALLY OFFER SERVICE WISE.Asked the main assistant if they were a diagnostic center and she said YES, then quickly got an email from the company AFTER making me fill out an assessment stating they were NOT a diagnostic center, and only responded to that one email when they thought I needed a their services, but when I stated I needed a diagnostic center, they did NOT reply to that email when asking them for a recommendation. hope that response was worth this review.

They deserve 0 stars. A bunch of narcissists who lack empathy. I moved from Solano county to Sacramento, and then shortly after moved to West Sacramento. They are just as bad if not worse than Northbay regional center. They completely lack empathy. It is breathless and shocking how completely devoid of empathy they have. Its like they aren't even human. These people lack consciousness and remorse for how they treat you. They blame their clients for every bad thing that happens to you as proof you can't live independently, including abusive roommate situations. I have only sought regional centers for housing, outside of needing housing, I am very independent and don't really need to rely on these services, which I find incredibly handicapping as they undermine your confidence and self esteem; I told them numerous times I wanted to go back to work and school and they refused to help, then s*** on department of rehab when I suggested that; they hate their clients, but also don't want to lose their clients $$. They want you dependent on them for life. I sought ALTA because I was in an abusive roommate situation. I have an eviction on my record and thus, roommates is my option at the moment. NBRC cost me my housing, and I was being abused in a care home and had to use legal measures to get out. I was so desperate and being abused that I landed in another abusive living situation. I had a roommate old enough to be my mother who was terrorizing me by threatening physical violence and calling me every vulgar and nasty name in the book, was going through my personal belongings, she stole my back up phone and had hacked into my fb and was messaging my friends nasty messages about me, calling me every vulgar name in the book. She was threatening to put me on the streets, threatening to hit me, etc. This was TERRIFYING!! So naturally I was FREAKING OUT. I told my case worker I was so scared I wanted to die, I was begging her for help and she escalated the situation by calling the police on me, she did so vindictively for me confronting her on unproffesional behavior; I was using lyft to look for housing and then asking for the agency to help me get a ride home and she was ANNOYED. (Albert, from alta regional center, told me he was "glad he got to speak to me over the phone," because NBRC had slandered me as "throwing a fit till I got my way." (again; WTF?? I was also dealing with DV when I went to alta; me being terrified and saying "please help me= throwing a fit.) He said it "sounded like I had a level head." Then when I called him 2 days later, begging for help because my roommate was threatening me, he patronized me "now lets not start back at square one." I ended up needing to go to a shelter for 15 days until I got placed in a new roommate situation. My roommate calling me a worthless POS and telling me she use to beat people when she was angry, and me being petrified. These people are sick. Melissa of ability to learn LAUGHED as I was having a panic attack, and lied to me telling me she could help me get my eviction off my record. David Lopez, client advocate, claimed me losing my housing was my fault, and proof I needed ILS , and that I shouldn't tell potential roommates I am a student with a steady income (I did so to prevent housing discrimation; it had nothing to do with the abuse or being displaced.) These workers lack the empathy or bandwith to be good social workers. steer clear away. David Lopez is not a client advocate. He is manipulate, hyper sensitive to criticism, lack empathy + an ability to self reflect. My initial meeting with him was 30 minutes of me setting a boundary asking him not to control my emotions and him not grasping what that basic boundary meant. I shouldn't have to ask this!" Workers will do this; they will tell you "don't be anxious! " and "good job being calm!" Controlling someone emotions is a form of emotional abuse. Identifying someone as a patient is pathologizing normal responses to trau

Horrible company. Take care of my cousin and no one cares about his best interest. No one ever calls back, and when you express concerns they make you feel like you have no idea what you're talking about.

Needs improvement to be more honest and transparent about services available to clients. Needs to work on having empathy and a better attitude towards clients and their families. Our first couple years with Alta we had a phenomenal case worker. Kinda downhill from there. I am optimistic thing will get better with time.
