“We really enjoyed our stay here. We appreciate the directions to nearby over-size parking! It was so helpful! Our room was quaint and kitchy and we loved the cozy fireplace in the main room. It had every convenience with dining table, fridge, micro. Nice big bathroom! Super cute balcony with additional seating. Service was great! We had to call 3 times with questions, all of which were met with every courtesy! Bryson checked us in and was very professional! We loved it! And we will stay here again! Happy customers! Nothing bad to write about! A+++++Noteworthy details: Over-size parking a plus!”

“We needed a getaway so we got one with Getaway House Big Bear. We came in August when there was a hurricane rolling through. We carefully drove up the mountain and loaded all our stuff in the cabin. It was nice, cute, quaint. We were so glad there was a heater/AC unit there to keep us warm during this storm. There were no leaks or anything! The place is quite small for 2 people and a medium dog but we made it work. Can't really complain much since they had a comfortable, decent-sized bed (full size I think), mini fridge, stovetop, sink, and a separate bathroom area.First night, all we did was drink in the cabin since it was a hurricane. We made sure to take this new hangover pill to make sure we were alright to hike the next day. It's always great being surrounded by nature. You have two options to choose from...either the forest or mountain view. We opted to pay up for the mountain view--but this is where my slight complaint is. We had a cabin that was like half mountain/half forest. There were other cabins there where the window next to the bed literally looked outward away from the mountain and had great views. We also didn't have hot water the first night we were there so we couldn't shower. They did come quickly the next day to help us out with this and got it fixed quickly. There are many trails nearby so we went on a long hike. Overall, I'd def come back.”

“Always good. NY strip is finally on the menu as a regular and is delicious especially how they do it w bleu cheese. Love the salads. The schnitzel is my favorite on the menu and the duck is a must. Mashed potatoes are ok just not consistent. Some nights great some nights not. Jenga ribs are amazing just whole lot. The appetizer is the way to go so you can eat an entree too! Bread pudding is the perfect close to a good meal. Oh I cannot forget Jasmine! Greatest bartender up here.”

“This seemingly off the radar bistro, (Bear Springs Bistro & Lounge), located inside the hotel offers a variety of food that would surely satisfy any appetiteThe appetizers and the main entree dishes offers guests a fine dining experience that one would expect in a stand alone restaurant.I ordered the 10oz petite fillet. It was delicious and extremely flavorful. The dish came with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and carrots, all which, were equally tasty. Also offered are dishes such as; seabass and ribeye along with a host of others. My server/bartender, Don was great. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and even recommended some customer favorites. His personality and friendly disposition was very much appreciated. The bistro closes at 9pm but the bar area is open until 10pm. And for those late night cravings, 24-hour room service is available offering a full menu. The hotel room accommodations are also worthy of laud and praise. I stayed in a junior suite, which, I found very spacious. It had a modern decor design with an upscale vibe.A rotating 48 inch TV screen sits in the center of the room allowing guests to view it from their bed or the sitting area. A portable tablet allows guests to surf the internet while accessing other services. The hotel is very clean and the support staff is extremely accommodating. The checkin & out procedure is very smooth, quick and efficient. The hotel offers a 24-hour courtesy shuttle to and from the Yaamava Casino, which, is only a short 10 minute ride. The close proximity of the casino coupled with the courtesy shuttle, the bistro and the hotel made for a wonderful stay.”

“Went along for a relatively early dinner- the staff were excellent and friendly from start to finish. We had multiple people look after the table, without ever being intrusive. They were chatty, without being overbearing, and their recommendations were much appreciated. The food was great, simple but effective fare. Went for short rib at the waiters reco, and got a steak as, Why not?! Great experience, will return”

“This is a decent middle ground Marriott property (but real value for the money) The grounds are clean, my room is clean and spacious, w/ big TV with a good selection of channels. With that said; the standout of this stay for me has to be the 20 year old bright light of a young lady at the front desk named "Zarlasht" - not only did she give me really good service but her smile made me want to smile...just a great way to feel when checking into a hotel. Thanks Zarlasht - you made my day.”

“Had a wonderful stay this last weekend. The bed was SUPER comfy, a huge plus given that we were out there to do some snowboarding. The amenities are pleasant, Saturday's breakfast was delicious and the views are the best on the mountain. We highly recommend this place!”

“This is the perfect hotel for a business person. It has everything you need in a minimalist yet colorful and inviting design. Excellent complimentary breakfast, fitness room, pool and jacuzzi. There is a small 24 hr market with snacks, drinks, frozen entrees and desserts. The guest rooms have a full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and nice solid dishes, glasses, and utensils. Extremely comfortable bedding, a huge TV, a clever pull-out desk/table design that gives ample space for eating or working, and environmentally responsible lighting throughout the room. Well-designed bathroom with a sleek shower and great amenities in large bottles to reduce waste. This brand is a big win for Hilton!”

“Had a good time here, room was clean and neat when I checked in. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't have any issues. I guess the biggest drawback was the tiny tv but it was still a nice room for the price.Did smell like cigarettes outside, like I read on most of the reviews, but the smell was only in the room for a little while as we got settled. The front desk employees were nice and professional and I appreciate the 24 hour availability.”
