“I went dress shopping at a&bé a few weeks ago with my mom and best friend and had the absolute best experience! It was my first dress appointment so I was a little anxious going in but Ashley, my stylist, made the whole experience super fun and she did an amazing job picking out dresses for me to try. Ashley called a few days before my appointment to get a feel for what I was looking for, and I could tell she really listened through the dresses she pulled for the appointment. I ended up picking the first dress I tried on! a&bé has a great selection of dresses with a lot of variety and I can't recommend Ashley enough!”

“I was recommended Ms. Kenney by a friend who had gotten her wedding dress altered by her. Ms. Kenney was amazing! She was very professional and laid out all the proposed alterations as well as time and cost estimates in a transparent and easy to understand manner. I loved working with her and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a seamstress. My wedding dress came out beautifully. Her costs are higher than you might find at a bridal boutique but they are definitely worth it. She was able to make the dress fit my body type and the final product was very flattering on me. “I had two appointments at Miosa Bride with Megan! My first one was with my fiance just to get some ideas. Megan saved my favorites to show my Bride Tribe during my second appointment. When we arrived she had them all ready to go. I had a list of others I wanted to try and she quickly grabbed them along with some others that were beautiful. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the complimentary snacks and champagne as well! Megan's vibe was perfect for me and my large bridal party. Everyone loved her! I had a lot to try on but never felt rushed. We even had time to squeeze in a black dress for some fun pictures. Megan really listened to what I liked and did not like about each dress. I thought for sure I would love the dress I tried on previously but there was that THIS IS THE ONE moment with a new dress. I lit up. My girls lit up. It was magical. The store has that classic bridal shop feel which we all adored. We tried another shop earlier that day but it paled in comparison. If you only have one shop to visit I highly suggest you make it Miosa Bride in Sacramento. And request Megan!”

“Probably the best alterations I’ve ever had done. I took my wedding dress here after a very expensive tailor didn’t do a good enough job. I was shocked at how inexpensive it ended up being here and they did an incredible job. I actually got referred here by my coworker at Joann fabrics who teaches all of Joann’s sewing classes in the area. If she recommends them, I take her word as gospel. Highly recommend.As far as their fabric selection—outstanding. It’s a little disorganized but it’s a fabric store.. you’re gonna have to dig around.”

“Gely altered my wedding dress and needed to take in the sleeves, shoulders, and waist. When I first got my dress I wasn't super enthusiastic about it because I looked so square (I'm a bigger girl). But after her work, I looked so amazing that when I tried the dress on after she fixed it, I truly felt like a bride!! I ended up going back to alter a second dress for dancing, and my mom bought a dress from her as well. I got so many compliments on my dress on my wedding day and my mom looked so beautiful! “We hired Phuong Trinh for their drapery and for decorating our wedding. Helen did a fabulous job with decorating the venue, cake table, sweet heart table, and arch for our wedding. She even gave us chair sashes. She went above and beyond for us and was a great communicator throughout our wedding process. I recommend her if you need a decorator and drapery services for your wedding.”

“My daughter's friend recommended this shop. We agreed we'd check it out but didn't honestly expect to find anything in her style here. Wow, were we wrong! The store was bustling with customers but the mother/daughter pair that run the place greeted us warmly and asked what we were looking for. They were SO kind, cheerful, and helpful our entire visit. Exceptionally nice ladies. The store is clean and well lit, though the dressing room area could have better lighting and larger mirrors. There's a forest of mannequins at the front and middle of the store wearing a selection of different dresses (and men's formal wear), which is fun to see because the rest of the space is crammed with hanging dresses, sparkly accessories, and catalogs. I dare you not to find something beautiful here. I wanted to have an event to attend just so I could buy a gown! Be prepared to dig--the racks are packed--so many dresses, so crammed together, sizing in no particular order. It was overwhelming to sift through on our own. But somehow, the owner knows exactly her inventory and where things are. She was like Mary Poppins, pulling dresses from here and there that we'd missed, once my daughter shared what she was after. We were also told that if they didn't have the size needed, it could be ordered and received in just a few days. Amazing! My girl tried on 5 or 6 gowns but was frustrated; none were yet The One. Then the owner magically produced a stunning red number from somewhere in the closet to Narnia that is this store. Daughter side-eyed it. She hadn't tried a single red dress during any of our prom shopping before that, but she put it on and her ENTIRE mood brightened. She emerged from the dressing room with this amazed, beaming smile like she'd just found the meaning of life in there. I told the owner, Lady, take my money. LOL Value wise, the dress seems well made. Materials and stitching don't feel cheap, and the price was reasonable compared to other stores with similar styles. I will definitely want to return here for future prom dresses for her. Tip: Bring the shoes you plan to wear, if possible. If you find a dress, the ladies can mark the hem for tailoring (which will be needed unless you happen to be 6'5") and will send it out to be altered for you for a fairly reasonable price. Otherwise, you'll have to return with your shoes to be measured. (Or you can go to your own tailor, cool, but definitely compare prices)”

“we recently got my daughter's prom dress from Sophie's and she was very happy with it. She wanted something unique and not like what every other girl was getting this year. Sophie's even did the alterations which made it convenient. The showroom is moved into a home now, but there is a big selection, the prices were reasonable and they also tailored to plus size, which was nice. My daughter fell in love with a dress but didn't like the mesh material so we had that taken off and the dress shortened. It was perfect, and she was very happy with it. She still talks about how much she loved her dress over everyone else's she's seen because it's so unique. I would recommend Sophie's Boutique :)”
