“If you enjoy vintage stereo equipment and respect someone’s craft, Luis is absolutely the person to bring it to.
I’ve taken multiple pieces to Luis over the years, and every one of them came back in fantastic condition. I’ve never had any issues coordinating drop-offs or pickups. And yes, I also miss his downtown Sacramento location — but if you truly want your gear restored the right way, he’s well worth the trip to Modesto.
He’s very clear about scheduling: call ahead to make an appointment for drop-off or pickup. That’s not unreasonable — that’s respecting his time and expertise. And if you expect someone with decades of specialized experience to diagnose your equipment for free, you’re not living in reality.
On top of that, Luis is simply fun to talk to. He’s passionate about music and the gear that brings it to life. When I mentioned I had a Marantz 2285B I wanted recapped, his eyes lit up and he smiled immediately. He did an incredible job — it looks beautiful and sounds even better.

“Target is a one-stop shop for my family! We love grabbing a Starbucks drink while browsing the aisles. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and their return policy is hassle-free (like when I recently replaced two items).
Target brands like Good & Gather and Figmint are a lifesaver! They offer high-quality products at affordable prices. We even found some of our wedding clothes here, and it's our go-to store for toiletries, medicine, kitchenware, and groceries.
While prices can change, I've included some photos from my April and early May shopping trip to give you a general idea of the selection [if the photos are still relevant].

“Francisco helped us in store get everything we needed. He was friendly and relaxed whilst professional! We ordered a whole bedroom collection and Josh and Juan set it all up exactly how we visioned it! Communication was brilliant with the delivery so we knew when they were coming. They were also really quick and also friendly. They were very clean and took away any packaging or debris left from getting it all set up.

This appears to be the latest and greatest Walmart in all of Modesto, considering there are a total of 3 Walmarts in Modesto. This Super Center on McHenry Ave, another Super Center (1st ever Walmart in Modesto) on Plaza Pkwy, and a new Neighborhood Walmart on coffee Rd. I like this one the best as it seems to be the most organized Super Center with a wide variety of things available ranging from food, beverages automotive, houseware, health/personal items, sports, outdoors, clothings/shoes, etc.”
