Motel 6 in Salinas is considered alright and good by some guests, with clean and quiet rooms that feel safe. A major positive is its great pet policy. The location is near many other motels and fast food places, offering nice walkability for quick meals. However, there are noted issues with uncomfortable beds that are hard and sloping, as well as hard chairs. Some maintenance problems like a flickering bathroom light or a sticking door are mentioned. The presence of homeless people around the area is noted, but staff are recognized for handling stress professionally. It is viewed as better than sleeping in a car.
Our room was not cleaned well upon arrival, the to heater/ac unit was broken and their solution was to give us an extra blanket...there was only 1 bar of soap (nothing for the shower). Not a fan and will not return.

We weren't informed prior to arrival the swimming pool wasn't in order. Room had no microwave, fridge, or kettle. Sink had no plug & the bathtub had no plug . The bathtub drain also was disgusting with white corrosion & was plugged up with rust & hair.
