“If there were 15 stars, I'd easily give them. Les is a) incredibly knowledgeable about every car from the 15 year old Escape to the minivan to the vintage, b) so practical in that he asks what you want to get out of your vehicle vs trying to make it perfect regardless of the life left in the vehicle, and c) kind and personal. They are also very reasonable on cost, but I'd pay almost anything for the way I was treated.”

“I had a flat tire after exiting the freeway close to Mountain View (stupid potholes!) around 2AM last night. I was terrified because I was already tired after a long day and it was terribly cold outsideI called "University Towing and Road Service" and of all the places I called, they were the most reassuring and charged the most reasonable rate! "Rick" (but based on the other reviews, I think his name might be Enrique :D) went above and beyond to assuage my anxiety and fear and changed the flat tire to my spare wheel and got the spare tire to the required pressure!He also regaled me with useful stories to help me better prepare for such situations in the future! 5 star and can't recommend him highly enough!”

“Alright I’m late on getting this review up but I wanted to make sure people know that I really appreciate Chestnut.
I had this huge Chevy 3500 Duramax Dually truck and had both of my driver side rear tires blow at the same time so I got stuck on the side of 101. I called three different tow services before I got to Chestnut and they were all ready to gouge me for a flatbed. Chestnut was the only one that had a reasonable price and a truck that could fit MY truck
They came out super fast the moment I said yes to the quoted price, literally less than half an hour from when I dialed their number. They towed me to their shop and by the time we got there they had the tires ordered, delivered, and waiting to be installed.
The pricing was extremely fair, beating out every other tow truck company, and was also fair for the tire installation job. Chris even discounted it a bit for me. Office staff were very polite but also down to earth. REAL PEOPLE, NOT LIKE MACHINES OR AI. Comfortable chairs in the waiting area and it’s a bonus that McDonald’s is across the street for a quick bite while waiting
I only found out later that Cherry Limo and Chestnut Auto are related to eachother, another business that left me super happy. The owners are brothers
I’m very satisfied with their service and how efficient they were to getting me back on the road in a timely fashion. They’re my regular trusted mechanic now who I go to for all my inspections and maintenance and i’ve been happy every single time.”

The only downside was that the initial call took a bit longer to go through due to high call volume I guess. But given the great service, I would surely use them again if needed.”

“I called C&S Towing because I was unable to replace the flat tire on my cargo van, and because my insurance company's roadside assistance service seemed unable to follow through on my call from three days ago.Because we're up in the mountains, it took about an hour and a half to get here, but as promptly as I expected. He handled the replacement quickly, and was courteous and personable.As a note, the depleted workforce resulting from the pandemic may be reducing the effectiveness of roadside assistance services. It may be better to call a highly rated towing service like C & S yourself, then submit the bill for reimbursement afterward.”

“Nobody wants to deal with insurance and getting your car fixed up, but Avenue Auto really knows how to create a pleasant experience out of it. Finished within the promised timeframe. Helped with another issue that I've been putting off. Communicated throughout. And when done, looked good as new. PLUS, totally detailed.
The best part of the whole experience, hands down, was working with Chris. He could honestly teach a course in customer service. I don't think I've ever had a better experience, in any industry or service, as I did working with Chris. Dude is cool as hell and puts effort into making sure you are taken care of.
