This place is the reason folks do Costco and/or mail order. place has gone to pot since sometime late in 2023. Its also ridic expensive on just about everything. Get that stuff at walmart & target on sale, yo. Be nice to have a 24 hour pharmacy somewhere in the area, but w/out the crazy mofos on/around El Camino Real and the folks bolting out the door with merchandise and often pills. This will never be any of that. If it were a city, this is a rotting city where the business and populations moved to the newer neighborhoods. The staff is what population is left behind. Misery, Darkness, long lines & longer receipts.

I have been waiting 4 weeks for my prescription they don't call, they don't text, I just have to call them everyday thumb through 5 prompts before I get a human, only to realize I wish it was fully automated. I'm just supposed to suffer while these pharmacists are too stupid to care about anyone else but themselves. They are so selfish and have no idea what it's like to struggle. The entire cvs staff is either angry about something, or sit around and giggle with each other behind the customers back. I'm also writing a negative review with Yelp. What else can I do as an unsatisfied customer. The biggest joke? CVS corporate doesnt care either. They just ignore my feedback on official app. This is not professional. Still waiting for solution. Don't go to this location. It's not just a waste of time, it's a waste of weeks of your life. No checkout workers ever check people out, and food items out of date on their shelves. This location is a joke. All reviews more than 1 star are obviously fake. They get their family to write reviews to boost their location. Corporate wont even contact me for response. If you been to this location you know and should also write a 1 star review to shine a light on this nonsense to inspire change.

still no medicine month after the prescription was sent to them. 0 stars. Pharmacy doesn't care about customers. The front checkout never has anyone behind the counter. Shelves have outdated food, and their inventory management also sucks. If you have actually been here, you know.

CVS pharmacy manager is so clueless and slow. Please for the love of God fire them. If they don't want to do their job there are plenty of people that would be happy to have it. The whole pharmacy section is just a bunch of bullies. That Can't Do One Single Thing Right. Check Yelp for more negative reviews of this awful place. Just because we live by the beach doesn't mean we need a power hungry pharmacy that can't do their job. I give 0 stars.

This pharmacy is pretty awful. Almost every pharmacist there acts like you are beneath them… like you are wasting their time. I understand customer service jobs suck… but get a new job then. People are there because they are sick and need medications. Dealing with the public will always be hard but your pharmacists at this location make it harder on themselves the way they treat people. The techs are incompetent for the most part, or the ones who are intelligent, act like their supervisors; like they don’t have the time to deal with you. CVS will not earn my business any more.

Kathy at the Pharmacy is a rockstar. She was fairly going back and forth helping drive-thru and inside window. Very professional. Store was clean and shelves were stoked neatly.

CVS pharmacist could not be any more rude. Their tone just answering the phone took me aback. Every question that came out of the woman's mouth was extremely rude. Nothing was done outside of her job description, I don't understand why you cannot be professional.

The pharmacy and staff are friendly and this is my preferred CVS in San Clemente with ample parking.

A lot of people don't understand that a pharmacy is still a medical center but just put into a retail setting. The systems don't work until the opening time (which hours will change in every location you go to). There are issues with CVS system such as -receiving messages it's ready when it is not. It actually doesn't mean it's ready but more we received the prescription and are working on it. If there are insurance issues or it wasn't sent in properly by whoever prescribed it then it will need to be redone. Which takes time because we have to send it back to the prescriber to get it fixed. The insurance is also a tricky one. It's not something the staff actually calls and fixes this is your insurance and every prescription with different insurances causes thousands of combinations in our database. So no, we can't just always go in and fix it. (I am a floater who works in CVS). Another thing to mention is every CVS is understaffed and this one heavily. The person at pick up is also working the drive thru the phones putting the prescriptions away and doing other task that the pharmacist has them doing. So yes, it will take time. Just like any other understaffed medical center. Do you ever go to the hospital thinking you're going to leave quickly? Probably not. The perspective of this fast paced system with pharmacies isn't sustainable. Yes rite aid might be faster but also because it has less customers. 8 locations have shut down in the past month, there will be more to come. We take In those who were once rite aid and now we have double the load. If you prefer somewhere else we won't argue you about it and we're happy you can find a service that fits you best. If you prefer CVS or don't have an option then I hope you can understand that this is still a medical center and we work with hundreds of prescriptions a day. Thank you for your patience and time and thank you for being a part of CVS

Even on the best days it takes 10-15 minutes to get a simple prescription with no problems. Considering this location is ALWAYS busy, it usually takes more than half an hour to be done. This most recent time it took more than 45 minutes before I was able to leave. Even after I was initially helped it took more than 10 minutes before she came back to continue the transaction, but then said another employee needed to do a DUR (whatever that is) to continue, which I waited 15 minutes and the lady talking to customers had to remind this other employee a second time before I was helped.Just go to Rite-Aid. My partner goes there and it takes her 5 minutes from the minute she steps in the door to the time she leaves. It's only a couple blocks away and supposedly it's cheaper too.

I have always had a good experience with the pharmacy. I wish the pharmacy was open the same hours as the rest of the store. They have drive through. My prescription is always ready for me in a timely fashion. I spent many years homeless and sorry to say I was not treated very well at the store. In fact some days the staff made me feel like they thought I was not even human. Now that I'm off the streats, it seems they've changed their tune. I don't really know what to think about that. I feel every customer should be treated fairly, Especially when you have money to spend and you're not hurting anybody. Not every homeless person is a thief Not every housewife is saint. Most homeless people are the same class as the community that they choose to call home.. They stay in communities because remind them who they used to be. Or they have ties to that community. Yeah there are some Transience that go from community to community burning bridges. The city rejects them quite quickly.Homeless people are the people you used to work with or the kids you went to school with. They are all individual stories and lives. And if you got to know some of them. They wouldn't be so scary.

Probably THE worst customer service by the cashier and the supervisor I’ve ever had. I worked in retail for some years so I am understanding when employees are low on staff but oh my goodness there was no need for the cashier lady and the supervisor guy to be so freaking rude to me. Please do better at being kind to others.

I have been a customer for CVS at 602 N. El Camino Real, San Clemente, Ca. since this location opened, years ago. The Pharmacy/Store had been an excellent store for years. It has, sadly, become a poor managed and poorly stocked store. The Pharmacy portion is understaffed.
