Dusty Rhodes Park is a great dog park with two separate, fully fenced areas: one for small dogs and another for large dogs. The yard is clean and large, with plenty of shaded areas from great old trees and available seats. It has a functioning fountain and a constant supply of poop bags. There is also a playground with a swing and slide. Restrooms are clean most of the time, though it is advised to use facilities prior to coming. Many dog owners are friendly and attentive, and there are lots of friendly, well-behaved dogs. Some cons include many gopher holes and uneven ground, occasional inattentive owners, and issues with items being stolen. Animal control comes around, so off-leash play in the grass should be mindful. Overall, it is a fun park that many visitors choose first and plan to return to often.
