Goodwill Retail Store and Donation Center, located in downtown La Jolla, is a small thrift store that has garnered mixed reviews. Some customers find it to be overpriced, noting that certain items, like Patagonia clothing, are priced higher than typical Goodwill rates, making it feel more like a consignment store or boutique. Despite the pricing concerns, many appreciate the store's cleanliness and maintenance, and some have found great deals on upscale and luxury items. The layout consists of small interconnected rooms, with clothing being the primary focus, while the selection of house goods is limited. While some shoppers wish for better organization by size, others note the reasonable prices on clothing, often under $10. The store is busy, reflecting its popularity, and parking can be challenging as it is limited to street options. However, the customer service stands out, as many reviewers praise the friendly and attentive cashiers. Overall, Goodwill Retail Store is a unique spot for those looking to hunt for quality items in a nice area, despite the pricing and organization challenges.

The new space is a tad but bigger but still crowded with clothes. 2 people can't pass comfortably down the aisles without touching. There is a ramp inside for mobility challenged customers (A++). Parking garage across the street is convenient. It was just ok.

I was new. Fancy, but small. It seemed to be a lot of people shopping there so it is popular. They had decent prices for that area!
