“BEWARE PARKING IS CAMERA ENFORCED!!!!!
The Goodwill is great but as most people thrifting are probably lower income like me, getting fined $60 for parking for 5 minutes in the LAZ lot is probably not what you want. Watch out.”

“By far the coolest clothing store/art gallery I’ve ever been in. I got to support local artists by purchasing one of a kind sweatshirts. The art was incredible. Wasani was super kind. I HIGHLY recommend checking it out. 10/10”

“Fantastic experience! Super friendly staff that delivered and set up the couch and table I purchased close to closing time. Will definitely be shopping here in the future for more furniture as well as their other fairly-priced items!”

“One of my favorite locations when Im visiting from Baltimore. The staff is so nice and helpful. The store was very clean and orderly. Can't wait to return again!! Oh and the Cashier, Phil, was AWESOME. So sweet.”

“This thrift store is probably one of the most organized thrift stores that you will come across. The items that they carry are in good quality, and they are reasonably priced. Staff is really friendly as well.
However, the stickers that they place on their items like books and pictures, do not peel off easily. It leaves, residue and remnants of the sticker that require cleaning and scraping off, which can be damaging to the item in general.”

“Love The work they do. Helping others in need without expecting anything back. I have to say that Kindness Initiative and G'Mach are the most generous organizations. I wish I could donate some money to help other members in need as They Are Wonderful. I cannot say more.
THANK YOU.❣️??❤️”

“This place is awesome!
My Daughter has been taking ukulele lessons here and loves it.
Highly recommend popping in if you’re in the area, they host live music events supporting local musicians and have some pretty awesome finds as part of the thrift store as well! Super cool spot in OB.”

“The most lovely ladies working here! I was visiting from New York and popped in and was really impressed by their collection of vintage jewelry! I may have bought half the collection. They also have a nice selection of blazers and sweaters as well as home decor. Everything is so organized and clean! They showed me the back room where processing and cleaning takes place and it is very meticulous with a lot of work and love poured into what they do. Will definitely be back!”

“I’ve been buying from Cherry Picked Thrift before she opened her shop. I’ve always had the best experiences and she has the cutest shop with so many cute finds. She’s always been so responsive and kind and willing to hold things for me that I saw that I liked before purchasing!”

“Everyone was very kind and more than helpful with finding uniforms for anyone new to the Navy.

The deals were amazing. Full dress whites, khakis, NWU, kid toys, etc for less than $100. Incredible place”

“Clean, well organized Goodwill with a nice layout. The items here are in better condition than I normally see in a Goodwill. There's also a decent selection of movies and video games, too. If I didn't know any better, I'd think this was a Marshall's rather than a Goodwill!”

“We've been going here sporadically over a decade. They have really good options for thrifting, for all ages and sizes. The operating hours vary but it's definitely worth looking into.”

“This is a nice thrift store. There are a lot of upscale items, some with tags still on. The prices are a little high, but that's to be expected in Del Mar. They are still fair for what you're getting. The selection is best for smaller women's sizes. The staff is friendly. The lot is a paid lot, but you can getting an hour parking tag inside the shop.”

“I see some negative reviews here about the prices. That wasn't my experience at all. I got a brand new shirt and a very gently used coat for $30 total. Needed something cheap and quick for one day for a wedding. I'll donate it right back before I leave town..”

“I don't know if this place is actively serving the homeless anymore. I saw so many homeless out on the street I'm beginning to wonder. I came down to the community today to feed. And there were so many I didn't have enough food. I remember back in the day Saint Vincent De Paul used to feed hundreds of hundreds of people every day. But at this time of the day I didn't see any lines like you would normally see. I don't know if I missed it or what happened. I know Saint Vincent's was a help to me when I was on the streets over 20 years ago. Do they still do those same things? I have no idea because all I saw was a few people”

“So delighted to meet these young entrepreneurs and find their darling little thrift store. I’ve found a little treasure each time I’ve gone in and their prices are incredibly low. The owners are what this world needs, more joy, kindness and love for all. If you need a friendly face to brighten your day and looking for something to adorn your shelves, please go visit and support them!”

“Great thrift store with a wide selection and good prices. The staff are friendly and the store is well organized, making it easy to find interesting items. It also feels good knowing purchases help support the community through Father Joe’s programs.”

“Employees are here to do their job, not to be nice or gentle with customers.

It is always nice to visit a Goodwill store to see what surprises are to be discovered. This is not the biggest store, but they have a lot of merchandise. Worth the visit. Good parking lot, no smiles and no restrooms for customers.”

“Best thrift store in San Diego. Lots of selection (except not many books). Great prices. Super friendly workers. Not much parking and the lot could use a repaving for safety.”

3.5 Good167 Reviews

“The store is good has a little bit of everything. I was looking for some demin jeans and was impressed with the high price of the most commercial brand. The store was clean and organized the staff was good, no complaints except those prices for the jeans. The parking is very narrow in some areas. I'll continue to come because there's always something good and affordable at goodwill.”

“Great brands and styles. Authentic vintage. Great prices too! I got a vintage hollister skirt for $4 and they have so many other great vintage brands. Small shop but still left with 4 things. Almost 5.”

“I was blown away by the affordable prices at Plato's Closet San Diego, which offers a fantastic selection of trendy and timeless clothing at a fraction of the cost of traditional retail stores like this stylish apparel outlet. As a result, I left the thrift store feeling like I got some amazing deals on high-quality Women's Clothing that fit my wallet and personal style perfectly.”

“10:10 underground parking, otherwise a classic bins experience. I arrived early, spent a couple hours digging. A little different than LA in that they put out the big, deep boxes. Impossible to get to the bottom of. T-shirt boys abound, as usual. Staff were very friendly. Not the best neighbourhood, but I really enjoyed this one over any of the ones I've been to in LA. The first turnover was 10:30 & they opened at 8:30, so it's a slower pace for sure!”

“I showed up with my buffalo to trade in but was quickly set straight on the purpose of the store. As it turns out my buffalo and I left with a snappy matching outfit.

Seriously....Great Staff....Great store. 5 Stars!!!”

“Emily was wonderful and made us feel welcome. The manager (didn't catch her name because she barely acknowledged us and just kept asking seemingly scripted questions as if pretending to be a human being and then not actually listening to the answers) took over in the middle of Emily taking care of us and barked orders at the other employees, making us and other customers feel uncomfortable. She was extremely rude and made us feel d*** and like we were inconveniencing her. Sorry, Emily, that you have to work with such a negative Nancy! You are a gem, however!! Thank you for your patience and compassion!”

“Eric Heitman deserves to be recognized for all his hard work. He works in the outdoor donation collection area and is amazing! His friendliness and work ethic are exemplary. Kudos to him.”

“The place did not smell like urine. This was my first time coming here. I'll admit that it was a bit frustrating that all the clothes were mixed together in the bins. They price soft linens and blankets at 3 dollars which I think is great. I still found some nice clothes in the bins though, you just have to search. I recommend getting there early because I got there at 10:30-11:00 ish and the bins already felt picked through. They don't rotate bins.”
