Naval Training Center Park is a large, spacious park with a cool playground area for kids and grandkids. It is a dog-friendly place with nice open spaces to walk dogs. The park has clean restrooms and several picnic areas with tables and benches. It is located near Liberty Station, which has shops, restaurants, and a food hall. The area hosts outdoor markets and an ArtWalk. There is plentiful parking, though it can get crowded. The park accommodates events and is a place that brings back memories for many, including those with naval connections. It is a good place for a family picnic, to let kids run, and to end a beautiful afternoon.
Liberty station had great parks and outdoor spaces. If you're planning a large group event, it's best to try and choose a spot a little early to get one close to the restrooms. Great for picnics, but there are also ships and restaurants very close.

So many shops and restaurants. I was there for a street fair, so I didn't do much looking around at anything else, but I'll be back. The parking can be a little challenging, but there is a lot of it if you don't mind doing a little walking.

I was there for a car show. Nice area, but trees dropped leaves and sap on all the cars. Won't be back.
