It's great to be here eating and I happen to see a Navy Federal Credit Union it's Sunday so obviously they are closed. The ATM was available,?✅ with all the bells and??? whistles on them you can even use them without a card, I give you 10 stars if I could, I could! ! !???????????? Navy Federal Credit Unions are awesome ??✅ and everyone I've been in the tellers and the greeters rock you ??

I got charged $55 in a returned check fee due to Navy Federals error. Submitted the proof of the charge and they immediately reimbursed me with cash into my account. Love them! I just had to show proof.

Subject: Unlawful Soliciting Bills and Violation of 39 U.S. Code § 3001 I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of significant concern regarding the recent mailings from your company that have been received by myself and numerous other recipients. These mailings, which resemble bills or invoices, are, in fact, solicitations for the order of goods or services, as clarified by 39 U.S. Code § 3001. According to 39 U.S. Code § 3001, matter that is in the form of, and reasonably could be interpreted or construed as, a bill, invoice, or statement of account due, but actually constitutes a solicitation for the order of goods or services, is considered nonmailable. The law requires that such solicitations must bear a clear notice indicating that the mailing is a solicitation and not a bill, invoice, or statement of account due. This notice should be in conspicuous and legible type, in contrast with the other printing on the face of the mailing. It has come to my attention that the recent mailings from your company did not adhere to these legal requirements as outlined in the U.S. Code. The mailings lack the necessary notice stipulated by law to clearly identify them as solicitations and not genuine bills or invoices. This raises serious concerns regarding compliance with consumer protection laws and transparency in business practices. As a recipient, I strongly advocate for adherence to the laws and regulations that ensure the protection of consumers and maintain the integrity of the postal system. I kindly request that your company promptly rectify this situation by ensuring that all future mailings clearly and prominently display the required notice in accordance with 39 U.S. Code § 3001. Failure to address this issue and comply with the legal requirements set forth in the aforementioned code may necessitate further action, including reporting the matter to the appropriate authorities. I appreciate your immediate attention to this matter and look forward to your prompt response. Please acknowledge receipt of this letter and inform me of the actions your company intends to take to rectify this situation.

Navy Federal put a hold on the check. From my TSP account. Stating that they have reason that the check was uncollectable.

One of the worst banking experiences possible. Uninformed tellers, slow service. I was more educated than the woman who “helped” me at the front. Wouldn’t recommend whatsoever, very frustrating

At the NFCU in Point Loma's liberty station. I met with Aileene or "ace" to receive a loan for a motorcycle. The process was a speedy 20 minutes and she was excellent in doing so while also being personable. Very pleased with this location and their service!

Horrible 6 week experience! I DO NOT recommend Navy Federal's mortgage services. My wife and I each have excellent credit and solid financials. We found a home we liked and what should have been an easy straightforward process was a long drawn out 6 week mess until I fired them. In total we went through 4 processors. Nobody ever knew what was going on. Communication with us was sporadic at best. At 6 weeks they were asking for details about items I turned in during week one. This kept going on and on. I spoke with a supervisor, Jeremie, who was no help. All he could do was blame us for things they hadn't taken care of. Luckily we had an understanding seller who didn't drop us. I was able to ditch NFCU and use a local mortgage counselor. He had us in the house at 2 weeks! Plus he had to correct the filing of my disability on the loan packet that Navy Federal screwed up. That nearly cost me 8k for the VA funding fee that wouldn't have been waived. All in all, very bad experience with Navy Federal. I closed my accounts with them.

They are way behind on convenience that other banks offer. If you Zelle or do transactions with them, expect 3 days of delay where your money will not be able to be accessed while other banks are immediate. This is ridiculous & needs to change. People can't do business effectively like this.

I have been banking with this company over three years and las week they stole about 300 dollars out of my account that has yet to be replaced I've requested all transactions and deposits on my account and still no response my name is Antriel Kingston and the people who helped me the supervisor weren't good at providing any solutions after they had my account in the negative. I am extremely disappointed and will be taking legal action. Instead of fixing issue the supervisor said I was in the wrong after they made a mistake on their end nobody was held accountable for money coming up missing out of my account.

Bad experience shouldn't be surprising based on the cut and paste responses from Navy Federal Credit Union on here. My son needed a car. He heard service members could get lower interest rates through Navy Federal Credit Union--which he got, but it was only lower by about 2%. He went through the application process online and they asked him to send in a letter from our insurance company saying they were paying off the totaled car (Someone had hit him in a parking lot!). So, the insurance company sent Navy Federal an e-mail as requested. Navy Federal wanted something "more official," so the insurance company sent something on letterhead. My son found a car and gave Navy Federal the VIN number. Navy Federal approved him for a $15,000 loan on that specific car, but he was supposed to drive to a branch to get the "check." This credit union doesn't have any branches in some states (despite bragging about its "worldwide" locations). So, he drove 180 miles to the nearest branch and got a "check." He had told him that after his deposit, the car would cost $14,458. They wrote the check for "up to $15,000," but he was supposed to have the dealer call them when he got to the dealer to get a "verification" number to write on the check--or the check would be worthless. When the dealer called them, they said they would only approve a loan of $12,458 for the car!!! This was the same car that my son had given Navy Federal Credit Union the VIN number to get the approval!! The price had not changed and neither had anything else. My son had to drain his savings and pay the difference or he would not have had a ride back to base. Further, he was supposed to report back to duty and left 10 minutes later than he wanted because of all the trouble Navy Federal caused. Stay away! 2% saving is not worth the trouble when you have to have three times the amount any dealer requires as a down payment.
