“Local small business, very friendly and knowledgeable staffs. We went in for a nail dremel appointment, unfortunately a curled nail wasn’t clipped and it took two days for staff to reach out. At which point we resolved the issue with our vet instead. Overall it was a pleasant & quick in and out experience for our pup.”

“My youngest daughter loves birds and she loves this place. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about birds and they were so super nice to me and my daughter...and to my whole family on another occasion.
They also seem to have everything you need to care for your feathered friends!

“For the first couple of years after getting out pup we used a variety of poop bags. Some we liked others we didn't. Found that there is quite a variety of bags available for this purpose. However, bags differ in color (Including how opaque), texture, strength (including odor transmission), size, some with ad content on bags, the convenience of 100 bags attached to an easy use hanger, gusseted, and overall cost. We found the bag that we use at a local park and found that it met all of the criteria we appreciated in a poop bag. We called the park office and they were able to point us to Dog Waste Depot. We just received our 2nd order of 2,000 green Mittn Header bags as we've yet to encounter another bag that works as well.”

“Great dog groomers located in North Park. We took our dog, Cush, walking around NP when we stumbled upon this neighborhood dog groomers. We were last minute but they were able to take him in. Cush was a bit shy when we dropped him off to get cleaned and groomed. We were so impressed when we picked him up and he was happy and handsome!

“WOW! I just moved from New York City to San Diego and was really worried about finding a place I love. I have a Cockapoo and she was in pretty rough shape when I took her in (super matted). As you probably know, poodle crossbreed cuts are pretty particular and I wasn’t sure they’d be able to achieve what I wanted as her summer cut because of her matted hair. It seems that they did NOT take the easy way out and just completely shave her (as others might’ve). PLUS, did I mention that they accommodated to my last minute appointment?! The service was amazing, everyone was friendly. I interacted with a total of 3 employees and all 3 were very pleasant to be around. Needless to say, I found Cherrys new groomers!”

I had such a great experience at Kahoots in 4S Ranch this afternoon! The service was outstanding—both the guy and the girl working in the store were incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They took the time to answer all of my questions and made me feel genuinely welcomed. “State of the art facility! I'd never been here before and I was so impressed with the way the animals were housed. They had plenty of space in their quarters with toys and beds. “This is the only pet shop I trust 100% with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Oli. She’s very sweet but also fearful, and grooming time used to be really stressful for her.
What I love most about this place is the drying cabin – it’s quiet, with no harsh wind or loud noise. Today I passed by and saw Oli just chilling inside, super calm while drying.
She also doesn’t come home exhausted like she did after visits to other pet shops. That tells me she’s not stressed during the process. The staff is always kind, gentle, and super attentive. I really appreciate their care and recommend them with my eyes closed!
Ah, one more thing I really appreciate – they always send a message when your pet is ready, along with super cute photos of your dog. If they notice anything, like dirty ears, they even send a picture of the cotton swabs they used, so you can see if there’s any sign of irritation or inflammation.
It’s such a thoughtful touch, and it makes me feel really welcomed and informed. I feel totally comfortable leaving Oli there for about two hours, knowing she’s in great hands!”
“Love taking my dog here for her baths. I use the self serve bath tubs and wash her myself and it’s worth it. The tubs are higher, so it takes the stress off your back and there is shampoo available if you need it. All other supplies are provided as well such and towels and you can even blow dry your dog if you want. My dog hates the dryer so we skip that part. Employees are very friendly, they know us and greet my dog in a way a dog lover should and every 10th wash is free! I highly recommend using this place for self wash or drop your dog off for grooming.”
“We regularly come down to San Diego from Los Angeles to get grooming done for our pup. The trip coming down and beating the notorious SoCal traffics is totally worth every single effort and cent. “Everyone knows how much I love my dog and SPOIL him... well, after going to 10 different groomers, I found the least expensive folks at Petsmart (near Rosecrans) were the kindest, caring, best groomers. Plus, it is well stocked with everything. Aways has plenty of parking spaces and easy to scoot in about and out.”

“Balto, The Wonder Dog, an 11-year old, white/cream Standard Poodle, who has received service dog training, looked like a prince when groomed last month at Splash and Dash. He was recovering from a butcher job at another establishment out of town. The new owners are very welcoming. The membership rates are an incredible deal.”
“I walked into this pet store the other day just looking for a new toy for my dog, and ended up spending way longer than planned. They have a pretty nice selection, not huge but enough that you can usually find what you need. The staff was helpful when I asked about healthier treat options, and they pointed me toward a couple brands I hadn’t tried before. Prices seemed normal, maybe a bit higher on a few items but nothing crazy. The place was clean and didn’t have that strong pet-smell some stores get. Overall, it was a good visit and I’d go back if I’m in the area again.”
“I have always taken my two little bundles of joy for a very long time to this location and they always did amazing work. Now I only bring one of my bundles since the other one passed. “Great groomer!! She always takes care of my pup and actually listens to what I want and follows through! Previous groomers I’ve been to don’t cut my dog the way I request and pay for so it’s been frustrating trying to find a groomer that doesn’t do whatever they want with my dog. This was the first place I tried since moving to San Diego and they’ve been great and take care of my 15 year old PomChi with care! Never had any issues with cuts or razor burns or anything of that nature.”
“Wee Companions is such an amazing and helpful rescue! They are so thorough and informative. It's clear the staff truly cares about the welfare of their animals. You are required to fill out a questionnaire in order to adopt so they can ensure you are a knowledgeable adopter. We got a Campbell's hamster, multiple dried flowers, a hide, dried mealworms, sand and all the bedding from our little guys enclosure, for 26$. I was so happily surprised by the cost! It was so nice supporting a small business that focuses on giving animals a second chance. I can't say enough good things about them!! You also get 50% off products when you adopt! (The photos of our little hammy are from our enclosure at home)”
