About Spreckels Organ Pavilion
The Spreckels Organ Pavilion is located in Balboa Park, right beside the Japanese garden. It is home to “The World’s Largest Outdoor Musical Instrument.” This San Diego institution has offered free Sunday concerts in the fresh air since 1913. The concerts are fun, family friendly, and perfect for families and little ones, with plenty of sitting area and space for kids to roam. The local organist is an incredible musician with a great sense of humour. They host many free concerts, including special events like a free Halloween concert. Parking is available right behind the building, but it is very limited, so arriving early is recommended. It is one of the best places in Balboa Park to host or attend cultural functions and festivals.

Awesome whole area, can spend all day here. Free organ rehersals. International houses and gardens/ musuems. All day parking is $10

Sweet experience to watch and listen to. They have performances every Sunday rain or shine. He Plays the national anthem at the beginning. I have to say a lot of people retreated to the shady side areas because the sun is on you if you're sitting in the chairs. Beautiful music and people watching. Free. Over 100 years tradition.
