The Observatory North Park is San Diego's newest concert/music/nightlife venue located in the thriving community of North Park on University Ave. The theatre can accommodate 1,100 people in its newly designed, tiered open-floor configuration, or be scaled down to a seated configuration of 550 comfortable seats. The old North Park theatre, built in 1929, was renovated as a music venue in 2014. Customers praise the fun and friendly staff, including the bartenders and entrance staff, who provide excellent customer service. The venue has hosted a variety of events, from major touring acts to corporate events, and is known for its great sound quality. While some reviews mention the drinks being lackluster, overall the Observatory North Park is a highly recommended destination for live music and entertainment.

I had a great time during the bop to the top night on. All staff members were kind especially the security guard who let us get some shade from the sun since we arrived so early as well as the bartender,she was very welcoming and patient explaining the different drinks they had to offer.
