I left multiple voice messages that went unreturned, then sent an email. I received an email response simply stating that they do not have funding for housing assistance, and to call 211 if I need resources. I thought that was the purpose of this organization.

Not sure of the quality of assistance they offer, but as far as applying for a position, don't do it. However eager you may be to help the community, look for another company. There are other viable and transparent companies who apply their mission statement in to action. Townspeople's mission statement is just words.

I desperately needed help with housing and they told me to go to Craigslist.
