Wine Bank is a fun liquor store on Fifth Avenue in the Gaslamp District of San Diego. It is an impressive and interesting store to visit, more of a tourist spot than a serious shop for locals. The space is particularly impressive, with two floors of stock in a wonderful old building, including an underground area. The selection is excellent and mind-boggling, with an array of wines and liquors from all over the world, including a lovely range of Mexican wines. They have very hard-to-find and specialty bottles, like Pappy Van Winkle whiskey, and decorative bottles downstairs that cost upwards of $15,000. The prices for these are steep and will knock your socks off, but they also have affordable wine and liquor. Browsing the aisles is like a fun scavenger hunt. The staff is friendly, down-to-earth, humorous, and very helpful with encyclopedic knowledge. It is a good time and a fantasy experience to look around.
7/10/26 - excellent selections of beer, spirits, and wine. The owner had a lot of knowledge and unique selection of wines.

I absolutely love this store in downtown San Diego. It's a total experience like none other. A must for anyone who appreciates the finer things in life, including tequila! Such a worldly selection and the prices are good. The people who gravitate there are the best.

Nice place right downtown. Wide selection and knowledgeable staff make it a great spot to pick up a bottle of wine of liquor. A bit expensive, but to be expected downtown
