This location definitely needs to hire more staff to keep up with the demand for their services.
I arrived at 1:50 on a Friday afternoon with only around 9 people ahead of me. Expecting a reasonable wait time, I ended up waiting for over one hour just to get my prescription order filled. I would leave if I could, but was is desperate need for more contacts.
I appreciate the staff’s attentiveness to each of the guests, but the wait time really is insane and negatively impacts the entire experience even if the staff is incredibly nice and helpful.

This location stands out because it's less crowded, and the lines are shorter compared to other Costcos. The store is clean, and the products are well-organized. Parking is also convenient since the parking lot isn't as busy.
Stacy was incredible! She went out of her way to help us find the right size for a Nike sweater. Her friendly vibe and positive energy made the experience so much better.

6 customers waiting and optical employee took over 40 minutes “fitting” a guy for glasses! he kept asking customer “are you sure this is one you want” as if he was his bestie shopping with him.
He took EXTRA long doing everything even though bunch of customers with numbers waiting.
Guy with beard and glasses and bear belly and he kept questioning the customers choices.
Never coming here again!!! Other employee was even annoyed with him

This is real bad experience,Dr.Ashly make mistakes for my prescription,my right eyes 1.50 ,she give me 2.50 , new glasses make my dizzy, I told her is madical accident!

I went in to browse eyeglasses but I found a gorgeous Jimmy Choo frame and I fell in love! The wonderful Costco Employee named Queenie Tang WAS AMAZING! She was very kind and patient with me. She took the time to explain my insurance benefits for my son’s glasses and gave me a very easy to understand breakdown.Queenie Tang was very polite, WONDERFUL customer service, PROFESSIONAL, and just an absolute delight to have! I drove from Upland to the San Dimas location and the store itself is very nicely laid out, the employees are polite and happy, but most of all, I WILL BE. BACK TO SEE QUEENIE TANG! I loved the care and attention to my optical needs as well as my son. Give that gal a raise! Wonderful!

Very helpful staff that explain everything to you, and your options. I went mid morning and was able to get an eye exam and order my glasses without a wait. I recommend making an appointment if you can. But they are very nice.

Been waiting for 40 mins and the number has only moved once. All I want to do is get my glasses fitted. Only has two workers that work extremely slow. Do NOT recommend coming here unless you don’t mind waiting close to an hour just to talk to someone. I’d give 0 stars if I could

I waited over 2.5 hours last month just to order my glasses. It was the end of December and I recognize that makes it the busiest time for optical. However, this place was incredibly poorly staffed and managed. While I waiting, they had a staff of 4 people but two of them were continously on break or walking away for unknown reasons. When I finally ordered my glasses they said that picking up would be super fast since they had an express area to just come and pick them up. That was a lie. Today I came to get my glasses and again there was a staff of four people. However, not one was tending to the people picking up glasses and as a result there was a line.of maybe 10 people. It's ridiculous how incompetent this staff is. Oh and again, while.all these people are waiting, there staff continously walks away leaving on 2-3 staff members helping customers at any one time. It appears their priority is helping people with numbers..I would never come to this location again.

Very happy with the Costco glasses and service. Had no problem with the D.O. who was very attentive and helpful when came to be fitted. (I go to my personal Ophthalmologist who said Costco would be a good choice for this part of the purchasing glasses). Picked up my new glasses today and Tina was careful to fit and clean. This is the first time I have used this Costco in San Dimas but also happy with glasses in the La Quinta Costco.

I have been buying my glasses at Costco for almost as long as I have had a Costco membership (1988) at the one on Foothill in Azusa first then when they built one in San Dimas started going there since I live in Glendora. I have always been very happy with the service until I picked up my latest new glasses today...no one bothered to clean the glasses, the person who served me (Pierce) didn't even warm up the sunglass part so they wouldn't even change color so I had to go back and ask him to do it, they didn't fit the glasses on me just handed them to me, didn't hand me the card that you can read off of in various size type, I had to ask for one. Pretty much the same thing happened when I came in to purchase them...everyone standing around talking not servicing the customers. Then when they finally got around to me they didn't sit you down at the table to do the measurements and markings...gosh, I have always raved about the service here, the good quality of the glasses, the price and the speed of delivery now the price is still good and the delivery is quick to bad the service people don't know anything about service. Whatever happened to Cindy? She was great!!!

IMPORTANT DETAILS THE OPTICAL DEPARTMENT IS OWNED BY COSTCO AND THE DR'S (OPTOMETRIST) OFFICE IS INDEPENDENT. 2 ARE COMPLETELY SEPARATE.I've been in to see the Optical Dept a few times in the past month and yes everyone is right, it's crazy busy. There is a bit of a long wait but once my number was called THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I received was absolutely amazing and well worth the wait, especially because I know I'm saving hundreds comprared to a private docs office. These Opticians are knowledgeable and what's sad, is that they are working extremely hard and still get lashed out at like it's their fault,there are shortages everywhere people.Be patient and give them a chance if you want to save $$$
