It’s a small museum. Most of the artists represented in the front rooms are local and we didn’t find them too interesting. In the back is a fabulous exhibit of animation cells. Also, it’s easy to miss the small, but wonderful, Batman exhibit.

The collection was really interesting and entertaining. The museum is small so it doesn't take long to go through the whole exhibit. The staff was nice and passionate about the vision of the museum. The gift shop is full of treasures, so many good books and art supplies!

The Cartoon Art Museum’s mission is to ignite imaginations and foster the next generation of visual storytellers by celebrating the history of cartoon art, its role in society, and its universal appeal. Our vision is to be the premier destination to experience cartoon art in all its many forms from around the world, and a leader in providing insight into the process of creating it.
As one of a handful of museums in the United States, the museum demonstrates how cartoon art entertains, communicates diversity, and champions self-expression through exhibitions, artist appearances, and community outreach programs.
