The Cartoon Art Museum is a fantastic, fabulous place for animation and comic enthusiasts. It is quite small, but the quality of the exhibition is top-notch. The museum features interesting exhibits, such as Filipino komiks, The Rocketeer, a gallery of cartoons by Ukrainian artists, and replica costumes from Batman movies. There is plenty to take in and enjoy. It is located in Ghirardelli Square, right off the main street around Fisherman's Wharf. The museum has a little comic book shop and a separate library reading room where visitors can immerse themselves in old comics, mangas, and other books. Admission is one of the less expensive things to do in San Francisco, with a discount for residents. It is a premier destination to experience cartoon art in all its forms and is highly recommended for a visit.

This was neat place to learn about many comic strips from news papers and comic books. Only $10 bucks to enter. Go see it. We enjoyed seeing the costumes of Batman, Black Panther, Spiderman and Wonder Woman.

Small museum but nice the animation and artists buffs. Went here with 3 young teenagers who love art and they spent most of their time drawing and looking through books in the mini library. Good spot for an hour or so. Admission is worth it.
