Hermès is a French luxury heritage brand located in the international terminal at SFO. This small, duty-free boutique offers a moment to find colorful, high-end fashion at higher-end prices. The storefront display is colorful and playful. Inside, the store carries an okay selection of apparel, handbags, scarves, ties, hats, jewelry, sweaters, shoes, home goods, fragrances, and other accessories. The goods are fun to look at, with scarves described as exquisite in design and material, and items noted for being silky smooth. The sales experience can vary. Some visitors find the staff professional and quite polite, even when just looking around. Others report a strange or inconsistent experience, such as being told only certain items are available for purchase despite a fully stocked store, or encountering problems at the register. A key policy is that the store can only sell to passengers with international departures because it is duty-free, which is not always notified in advance. Prices are very high, with items like a bucket hat priced from $300 to $440. While not everyone is there to purchase, many enjoy walking through the shop during a layover to look at the beautiful, if expensive, merchandise.
Typical standard airport prices of a luxury product store. However, salesperson did her job and I walked out with a pricey tie😕

It was probably one of the worst services I have seen for Hermes. The two old ladies rolled their eyes all the time, like they had some problem.

Limited selection. Don’t bother if you’re flying with Air Canada in Terminal 2, they won’t deliver to your gate. I thought flying to Canada was considered international. I guess not.
