I went to them with a challenge to make a black suit, but not a boring one. We ended up landing on a wide peak lapel double breasted black herringbone suit with Holland & Sherry fabric. Absolutely perfect fit and feel.”

“I walked into Uomo Menswear with what I thought was an impossible request—I needed a suit ready in only a few hours. Most places would have just said they couldn’t do it. But not only did they make it happen, but they exceeded every expectation I had.
From the moment I stepped through the door, I was treated with extraordinary professionalism and genuine warmth. The staff made me feel like a valued guest. They listened carefully to my needs, offered expert guidance on fabric, and worked with remarkable efficiency (even calling the tailor back from lunch early!) to ensure my suit would be ready on time.
The craftsmanship in the suit they fitted for me is excellent. But the personal touch is what sets them apart, they even tied my necktie for me when I made a joke about it having been a while since I’d worn a suit.
If you're looking for quality suiting with service that makes you feel genuinely welcome and cared for, Uomo Menswear is the place. They turned my stressful situation into an effortless, even enjoyable experience. I can't recommend them highly enough!”

They only have large and espresso size but nothing in the middle or a smaller mug that is not medium size. “I stopped by A.C.M.E. Workwear while I was up in the city. I usually shop at Redwood Trading Post since I live in Redwood City, but I’m really glad I checked this place out. It’s near Mission and Geneva, not a flashy area at all, but the store itself is solid and worth the stop.
For a smaller shop, the selection is really good. They have a lot of Carhartt, and not just the usual stuff. Pants, shirts, jackets, accessories, and most importantly, real size runs. I wear a 40x34 in work pants, which is usually hard to find, but they had it right there with no issue. That alone impressed me.
I went in planning to use my work stipend on new pants and ended up grabbing a pair of Carhartt B01s and a tee. One thing to note is that the prices are a little higher than online. The B01s were about $67 in the store, while you can find them online for closer to $59. The pair I bought had also been sitting in the sun for a while, so one side was noticeably more faded than the other. To be fair, the guy helping me, Kevin, noticed it right away and gave me a discount without me even asking, which I appreciated.
Kevin was great overall. Super friendly, helpful, and relaxed. No pressure, no upselling, just straight help getting what I actually needed. That kind of service goes a long way.
They’ve been around since 1972, and it shows. The place feels established and dependable. They carry a wide range of workwear brands and gear, from boots to hard hats and more, and even though you can’t order online, they do have a website.
I’d definitely come back, especially if I’m already in the city. If you’re looking for real workwear and good service, this place delivers, just keep in mind the prices can run a bit higher than online.”

“Getting a suit fitted is not something I am accustomed to. After calling around to some other local spots, who were not very inviting to say the least, Andrew was completely different.
He accepted me into the world of custom tailoring with open arms. Gentle and precise, and more than happy to swap something out just so I could see what that would be like. It was quite an amazingly fun experience, and it was way more relaxed than I thought it would. (I liked it lol).
My 2nd fitting went smoothly, he was prepared for me even though I showed up 30 minutes early. When I put the items on they fit like a dream.
Parking is extremely easy to get, there are 2 garages across the street.”
