The Hilton San Francisco Union Square offers a comfortable and convenient stay for visitors attending conferences or exploring the city. Guests appreciate the smooth check-in process and well-maintained rooms, which feature comfortable queen beds, good darkening curtains, and quiet environments despite the city noise. The rooms provide decent views of downtown and are clean, although some mention that the hotel is starting to look a bit aged and could use a facelift. The hotel’s staff receive high praise for their politeness, professionalism, and helpfulness, often going above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction. Facilities include a 24-hour lobby area with a variety of food and drinks, though prices tend to be high. The hotel is located close to Union Square, the financial district, and public transportation, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and neighborhoods, including the nearby Tenderloin and Soma areas, which can seem intimidating due to homelessness and drug use but are not dangerous. Food options range from fine dining to fast food, with multiple restaurants and a coffee shop inside the hotel. Some guests find the layout and signage confusing, making navigation around the hotel challenging. Overall, the Hilton offers a good balance of comfort, location, and amenities, suitable for both business and leisure travelers.
Great location, nice rooms. Clean. No complaints. Prices for anything are crazy-$7 for 20 oz Coke Zero. Great location.
