I die a little bit inside every time I try to get food from the deli or hot food counter. Not only is the food disgusting, but the people who work there are incompetent and also disgusting. It's impossible to get help because there's never anyone there. They reuse the same utensils in all the different foods just by dropping them in dirty water between. Just ask yourself why the food at their deli is orders of magnitude worse than the food at the Safeway deli. Why even have a deli at that point? Just get rid of it.

I come here for great weekly specials, like 5 for $5 ea=5 for $25 & buy 5 gallons of milk get the next gallon free. Get a free Lucky You card and get freebies plus save points for $ off or free items. Not a fan of the new layout and the free standing cold case that used to be between the bakery and meat section is gone and they refused to give a rain check for an item that was out of stock, not a problem when they had the cold case for the meat section. Also they have no one in customer service, no matter what time you go there is no one to help you in customer service. They don't plan for sales either and sometimes the freebie doesn't exist at their store, they don't stock it.

Don't bother with Lucky unless you are very young. They treat older patrons like idiots and heaven for bid you want to pay in cash. The check out person was so rude and I am a nice person, but my hands are not what they used to be so it takes me a second longer. He made a growing sound. What a jerk.
I will never go back. They don't have enough staff, the staff they have are of no use.
There is nothing nice about this place. It is not clean, heaven forbid you need to use a restroom, that will never happen.
The food and bakery is over priced.
They are mean and rude when you try to use your coupons, digital or otherwise.
The place just sucks on every level.

While we have some really wonderful checkers and cashiers and people that work at Lucky, it is mismanaged and many of those wonderful people have quit because of it.
It is severely understaffed , there are long lines on the regular…it does not have the wide variety of selections and sales that other Luckys have. I am comparing it to the Lucky off of Sloat and down in San Mateo County. Those Lucky stores have many selections and really great prices and sales while , the Lucky on Fulton does not!

I went here this evening for the first time for a couple items and the black security guard followed me in the store laughing and talking about me to the other employees mind you he didn't follow the white folks around in the store and one of the white homeless males was trying to steal a pack of meat he dropped it on the floor once he got caught this evening 6/27/25 approximately 6:25 pm .

Subject: Complaint Regarding Poor Customer Service on June 18, 2025
On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, I went to Lucky to do my regular shopping. Around 9:15–9:30 PM, I proceeded to the cashier — a male staff member — to pay for my items. I received extremely poor service. He scanned my items and told me the total amount. I counted the cash and placed it beside the computer screen on the other side of the conveyor belt, as I was still counting. He was standing with his hand on his chin and asked me, “Do you think I’m standing over there? Why are you putting the money there?”
I looked at him and said, “I’m sorry.” He just stared at me and looked at the money without doing anything. I felt that he was clearly displeased and was showing his dissatisfaction by refusing to provide service. So I said, “It’s okay, I won’t buy them anymore,” returned the items to him, and walked away from the counter.
Suddenly, I heard someone call out to security to check my bag. There were many people around. I handed my bag to security to inspect, feeling humiliated and deeply embarrassed. They made me feel like a thief. Everyone was looking at me. Nothing was found in my bag, so I left. But I later came back to ask for the name of the cashier — a chubby male — and also asked the security guard. They refused to tell me.
This experience deeply upset me. It was the worst service I have ever received. I was treated with disrespect and wrongly suspected of theft in front of many people. I am writing to inform the management about this incident, in hopes that it will lead to improved customer service. I also apologize if I did anything to unintentionally upset the cashier.

Don't buy anything in this store there's a lot of mice dropping on the shelves in several places and aisles. I can't believe the store is open for the public disgusting.

I asked for a rain check for an item that hasn't been in stock for a week they gave me one on the 17th but when I asked again on the 24th because it's they still had not stopped the shelves I was denied what were customer service how petty and picky
