I would never shop at this location again. They did not honor the specials they had listed , did not honor sales conditions, were dishonest and scammers. I miss the old metro.

They wasted a bunch of my time trying to sell me stuff that I repeatedly said I did not want. All I wanted to do was pay my friend's phone bill and it took more than half an hour to get that done because they wouldn't stop trying to talk me into some other bull shitz. Also, they charged me an extra 5 bucks because I was paying with cash. Who does that?

I've been coming to this corporate store for years now and I'm not sure if it's still a corporate store I think they said something changed. In any case it's higher up than an authorized dealer store. I've been coming here for years and always had a great experience. I went here about a week and a half ago to buy a new phone to link to my old number. It's very important that it's linked to my old number so I can access my Gmail account and import apps like bank, credit cards and brokers. The man said he linked it to my old number and I didn't check when leaving because I always trust this store and I even left without the receipt. I made it clear I didn't want a 3rd line added to the 2 that I've had 4 years now. Turns out he gave me a 3rd line and now my bill is over $150 which he obviously didn't want my to see, hence the no receipt. I also can't access anything online that is important to me. At the moment I need to pay off a couple credit card companies and I can't do that because I can't access my bank app nor the credit card apps. I called metro PCS and spoke with managers and they all said that no changes can be made to a new account until after 30 days. I am out of the area and have been so I'm unable to get back to the store to talk with the young employee who gave me no receipt and I'm also seeing he charged me more than he was supposed to by a significant amount. I have a friend who got the same phone with the same plan. Well if finally got up the nerve to call this store and see what they can do. If everything goes well and they will link this phone to my old number (the reason I went there in the first place) and they can also refund me some money I will come back and delete this review. At the least I will update it to sah what happened. Until then I'll continue to watch my credit tank as I'm unable to pay off my credit cards. They get commissions off sales so I know this guy scammed me, and also said the phone came with a free tablet...nah I paid for everything and I was an idiot for just trusting so much.
Updated, the 3rd line he gave me increased my normal bill of $75 to now $163 a month. I went back and was finally able to get a copy of the receipt. On this 3rd line he added around 10 paid add in services to the number wow.

I have been a supporter of "Ghetro" for over ten years and never I experienced such insensitive and unhelpful people. I recently had metrp phone stolen and I needed another. However, although I was a faithful insurance carrier, the workers in this store were rude, cold and mean when I asked them to assist me in obtaining a new phone. I was put off, lied to, and belittled. Ultimately, my insurance claim was ignored and I got burned. The store sits at ground zero of a miserable and unsafe part of the city. People around the store, if they are not openly getting high, they are watching and sometimes harassing the customers. The store knows this occurs yet they do nothing to ensure that their customers aren't molested, harassed, or made to feel unsafe. There seems to be very little accountability along the employees when it comes to proper consumer relations. What ever happened to the idea that "the customer is always right?"

A place where you can get a cellphone. I'm surprised that it is still in business what with all the free phones being given away everywhere. It's your choice; I wouldn't pay for something that I can get for free.

I came in to pay my bill and the young lady helping me was helpful. This location obviously takes cash or card. I went in at the end of the day and wanted to pay with so I had to use the kiosk which has a $3 charge. Minor complaint but I'd rather pay the fee knowing that, hopefully, it keeps the staff safe since there isn't a lot of easily accessible cash available at the end of the day for for potential muggers. Will stop by again if I have to pay my bill in person

2023 review - Ick - the MetroPCS store at 900 Van Ness Avenue is a bad place to go for phones or service. "T", (Christine,) is no longer with MetroPCS and the guy managing the store now, and the guys working there now, seem to be either maladjusted to their roles or downright malicious. I did my research on what phone I wanted and walked into the store ready to buy that phone. I was still forced to get a tour of the store and each phone was described to me in detail. When it was finally my turn to speak they told me that they only had "three of those phones in the store" and they "didn't know" if they "could sell them yet." They made a big deal about it and then said they had zero phones to sell (of that model.) I pointed out that in a store that only has 12 phones for sale, and is in the midst of a major nation-wide campaign to sell those phones, it seemed unrealistic that they would not have the one phone I came there to buy. Furthermore, they had absolutely no idea of when the next delivery of that phone model would happen. I tried to explain how unlawful "bait and switch" was and they acted like victims. Ick. The good news is that the MetroPCS store at 1111 Market Street is close by and staffed by incredibly kind and knowledgeable humans who laughed at the story of the guys at 900 Van Ness being out of the one phone model I wanted to buy. While I waited in line at the 111 Market Street MetroPCS store I saw the staff there, over and over, treat each customer with kindness, patience and dignity. I am so impressed with this. The staff could have been exasperated with the older guy who just couldn't understand the simple thing he had to do, the young man helping him was endlessly kind and patient. I loved watching it and didn't care that it added 10 minutes to my time in line. Outside the store junkies were folded over nodding out, or staggering around with tin foil treasures, a scabby hobo rushed through the store selling a MacBook Pro with no case or cables for $40 but the MetroPCS folks just kept on taking care of customers and giving everyone excellent customer service.
