Doing your laundry is considered an essential service. The Sock is a self service laundry and laundromat in the heart of Russian Hill in San Francisco. The store is cleaned twice daily inside and out, 365 days per year. You can expect your machines to be efficient, quick and well maintained. No quarters required. You can add money to your Sock Card with debit card, credit card or cash.
Dryers eat your card balance. Only 3 of 12 dryers work.
Update: Sept 2025. All dryers have been replaced and now work.

50% of machines out of order Dryers have the tendency to eat money, or charge 1.75/10 minutes. Rather than the 30 minutes expected.

Not even joking I did my laundry here and I found an extra sock in my laundry.Anyways bring cash and be prepared to buy a laundry card for 10 dollars, everything else is pretty standard
