Palihotel San Francisco is an exceptional, charming, and pretty boutique hotel in the center of the city, right next to Union Square. It is unique, with its own character, soul, and a lot of charm. The hotel is stylish, modern, and very well decorated, and is one of the best smelling places.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, cozy, and of good taste. They are a good size, though some are small, with comfy beds and pillows. Bathrooms are great with walk-in showers and nice Diptyque soaps, though some have no shower door. The hotel provides good pastries, bread, milk, and coffee in the mornings. The location is great and very convenient, right on the cusp of epic San Francisco grit, with a bus stop in front. The area feels safe. Service is friendly and accommodating, with great concierge service. It can be pretty quiet, though noise may be loud in the early morning; earplugs are provided. The hotel offers a lovely and romantic experience with a lot of quirk and charm.
Beautifully renovated older building. Loved the style that kept some of the historic aspects (like wood floors in hallways and shutters in windows) but added all the modern comforts. Staff was great. Location very central. In-hotel bar/restaurant was really enjoyable.

Super homey and cute. Crystal at the front desk was amazing and super helpful. The location is perfect. And the staff are so attentive. Can’t wait to return.

I had a wonderful stay. The room was comfortable and clean, but what really stood out to me was how friendly and welcoming the staff was. Everyone was genuinely helpful and made me feel right at home. I’d happily stay here again.
