Ross has the best brands, the latest fashions for family and home, all at 20% to 60% off department store prices. Large store with huge assortment and good prices for branded things. Good brand selection and good price is worth reserving a few hours for sensible shopping. Staff has become noticeably more rude over the years, and long lines at entrance and cashier can be a downside. Security guards at entrance sometimes yelling and greeters may not greeted, can feel not welcome. People find household items like curtains, picture frames, bedding and other goods at a good price. Ross also has shoes for a few things. Still the store has good brand selection, good price and a large three level, but the experience can be rude and the staff can be pleasant and efficient.
If you go in without any expectations or thoughts and take a look, sometimes you might get something. After the existing Nordstrom Rack disappeared, it was the only discount store on Market Street.

I lined up only because I've always wondered why people were lining up here, and I finally figured out why - there was no reason, it was just that the store wanted people to line up
