I had a wonderful experience interacting with the UPS manager, Victor! I had managed to bring a large piece of furniture for return, carrying it by foot up the hill, and arrived at UPS just as they were about to close. To add to my stress, there was also an issue with the return label. Victor was exceptionally accommodating and eager to assist. His generosity not only made my day but my entire week, and I am immensely grateful to experience this kindness in the community! ?

The UPS store on 29th Street in San Francisco is close and convenient to my home. It’s always clean and a pleasure to visit when I have shopping needs. The customer service is always on point and today was no exception.Victor, the store manager on duty, was a delight to work with to solve a miscommunication that was my fault entirely. He helped me expedite a package that my assistant shipped via ground and I needed it to arrive 3 days at most. He accomplished this during a busy rush with minimal wait. Now I can rest assured that my package will arrive in the timely manner that I had promised my client (and my assistant still has a job). Please pass on my words of praise and remember them when it comes time for his review and raise.

Do not go here. If you want them to print an Amazon refund label, they will charge you $4.00. For a piece of paper? Give me a break. If you are a shipping company, and the shipping is paid for, and you require people to use your labels, it could be included in the shipping! If it’s not an Amazon label they charge $15 for other labels!

I brought in a package to be mailed Thursday Jan 11th for next day delivery or 2nd day at the latest (from S.F. to Cotati). The recipient called me Tuesday the 16th to tell me it hadn't been received & the tracking number said parcel didn't exist. I called the UPS store and found out it had been damaged and sent back to the UPS store. (Thanks for letting me know) The gentleman said he needed to get a new label/tracking number from UPS and would call me later or the next day with that information. Today the 18th I called to see what was going on only to find out nothing had been done. Frustrating. No apology. No mention of fixing the damaged item. No mention of the insurance I paid for in case something happened. $25.00 and one week later the package (which was a birthday gift) is still sitting there at the store. The answer I received when I asked when they were going to deal with it was maybe tomorrow. Seriously?

I’ve used this location several times and have never had an exceptionally bad or exceptionally good experience. Today, however, I called to ask a quick question before walking all the way there in the rain. A young woman answered and I asked if a certain service was available at the store. It was clear by her response that she may have misunderstood (or maybe I miscommunicated) the question, so I said, “oh, sorry, what I meant was—“.At that point, she talked right over me by saying, “NO”, then hung up on me. We live in stressful times where many people are overworked, understaffed and underpayed. I get it, and I try to maintain a certain amount of understanding and grace. But to that end, the same might be true for a customer, calling to ask a simple question before embarking on an excursion that may perhaps be more difficult for them than most. If not kindness, then perhaps just a bit of decent, normal customer service will do.

The 60 29th St. San Francisco UPS Store is an important neighborhood hub. Victor and his team do a great job managing our mailboxes, packages and other services. They keep the flow going smoothly when it gets busy. Things get done well, and they are friendly and helpful and always keen to take care of us.

At shop #5818 at 60 29th is San Francisco on Thursday September 14th, 2023, a clerk by the name of Victor went above and beyond, fixing an issue with scanning a QR code by allowing a woman to airdrop it to another device. He DID NOT HAVE TO DO THIS but he did it anyway, saving her a trip home to find an alternate method for sharing the info. He deserves recognition for taking a moment to provide great service - his effort is highly appreciated.

I'm here all the time to drop off pre-paid packages, getting boxes or packing assistance, and to pick up mail and packages for a client who routes her deliveries to this location. The staff is patient and helpful - they have a million things going at once and do a good job of remaining calm even if the customers are abrupt. Victor is superb and always helps new employees and customers out of their element.
