Came to the hotel for a San Jose Shark's game on a Saturday. Checked in after 3pm, with no problem... except we came with a booked party of 5 people which we already paid for online. No initial problem with check in, except for when we came to our room that was supposed to have a pullout couch and the room had none... so went back down to the reception, and we were told that, 'Well, you have to call the hotel to confirm your booking before-hand to ensure your room... luckily we're not full so we can accommodate you.' Seriously!? We paid for a room, and the room is supposed to be handled by the hotel... which has already been paid for, but it's not their responsibility to make sure we have the room... WE PAID FOR!!!??? Is this a Seinfeld episode!? Well, not to be unfair, after we inquired, they moved us to an appropriate room (but only after we reached out, and the ridiculous rebuttal). We are told that the restaurant and bar open at 430 to midnight... no problem. We go downstairs after 5pm to have lunch... to which we are told, no cocktails, only beers, that the dedicated bartender shows up later. No problem, we order food, and some bottled beers. Pay the bill and provide the tip. Fast forward to after the Shark's game. Come back, go upstairs to drop off swag, and then go back downstairs to enjoy a drink at the bar... that we were told, by reception, as we checked in... the bar was supposed to be open until midnight... which we were looking forward to since it was already advertised online, so we made our plans to just go back to the convenient hotel with the provided bar... anyway... we were abruptly told at 11pm that the bar is not open... even though people are at the bar... drinking not just bottled beers, but fresh cocktails... (we were already told earlier that the bar closed at midnight) so members of our party approached the bar and were immediately turned away, even though it's still 1 hour from closing. Then another member wanted to make sure, and was told, 'No, no, no hablas, no hablas.' So that was that. Anyway... between the policy of the hotel being, 'Well, you paid for certain amenities, but unless you confirm prior (instead of us just doing your job), you won't get them... and also... we have hours for our bar... but we won't provide that...' well... I guess shame on us that we thought a business is supposed to be reputable'. Shame on us, one star... I guess.

This hotel is clean, comfortable and convenient for attending events at SAP center. Reception and checking in was efficient and smooth. There are limited food options and The bar tenders joke surrounding EBT are unnecessary and inappropriate which was the reasoning for 3 stars.

Such a pleasant stay here. Loved that it's just a 10 min drive from the airport and easy walking or driving distance to spots around Downtown San Jose. It's also conveniently right off the freeway. The staff were all great and helpful. I have to say this is the first time I haven't encountered rude hotel staff. If you book through the Marriott Bonvoy it has everything at your hands; mobile room key - so skip checking in at the front desk and you can easily request towels or ask for house keeping and they have a chat for any questions you may have! I stayed in the guest room with 1 king bed. I found the layout to be great but is small in the sense you don't have much space. But it was just me so I didn't have an issue. The room also came with a desk attached to the wall, a big chair where you can sit back and relax. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows were great! Not stiff. We all know that hotel pillows aren't the best. LOVED the safety features they have on the door. It comes with a metal doorstop at the top you just flip open and comes with an extra lock you can use. Made me feel safe as a solo traveler! Now I will say the only thing I did find inconvenient was the parking. As with all hotels around the area you have to pay for parking daily. Here is $35/day and you can only park on the 3rd and 4th floor which isn't the best when you have luggage. BUT they have the scooters at times right next the hotel and down the street the have bikes to pay for. If you won't be driving far in San Jose save some money and ride them. It's right next to the hotel and is shared with other businesses. They have a parking that's adjacent to them that I believe is cheaper but I didn't really want to lug my suitcases across the street. But overall great stay! Would 100% recommend and stay here again.

Nice design, but not a toddler or disabled or family or late night friendly hotel. Simply for business people. Here's 5 things that stood out for me. 1. For the rooms, the design is "nice" but is not that conformable if you have a toddler to traveling with other parties. The bathroom door is glass, so whenever someone goes in the bathroom, the light can wake up people that are asleep. The bathroom door doesn't lock so your toddler can just open the door when you're trying to get some peace when you do your thing. 2. The parking elevators stop working at 11pm and the hotel parking is on the 4th and 5th floor. So if you have a wedding, or some party and you have a growing family with a lot of baggage, stroller, or are disabled, you're going to take the stairs or opt to cut the event short. 3. The disabled person, or automatic doors didn't work when we were here and the other option was the circular swinging door that we couldn't fit out stroller in. Each time we went in the hotel, we had to wave a staff member to let us in. 4. Tight space, two car lobby unloading site. The place is in a shared plaza with Zoom and bank buildings so it's tight. So we had to unload from the 4th floor of their parking garage and lugged or went back for our stuff. 5. $35 parking fee per night. So yeah, it's a "nice" designed place, but I wouldn't call it comfortable for family stay. Simply for business people.

Very nice hotel , right off the freeway in an easy access area of San Jose. Very clean lobby with a good size bar , with a ping pong table in the middle for the fun. Parking is adjacent lot not associated with hotel , but easy access. Room is very spacious and actually one of the few we have found to have 2 king size beds in a standard room. Good staff , friendly and helpful Small size pool , no jacuzzi little bit of a bummer without a heated pool but otherwise this is a great place to stay and I'll recommend and stay again

Stayed here one night for a wedding weekend extravaganza. I was looking for a clean, crisp fresh sired room with comfortable beds, a roomy shower, darkening curtains and a tv. I got everything I was looking for. I stayed in a 2 King room on the 3rd floor. The room was very clean, the air was fresh, the beds and (4) pillows per bed were super comfy, and the big screen tv was nice. The bathroom counter space is roomy and the rain shower shower head felt amazing. Tub very slippery so be careful. Cost for one night a bit steep hence the 4 stars not 5. Staff super nice. I'd stay again. PS: They have usb outlets in the lamp fixture but be sure to bring plug for newer apple tech.

I stayed here for business and wanted to first remark that this hotel is very nice and clean. HOWEVER, I had a very strange experience at this hotel on my second night and therefore, give it one star. At about 1:30 am, someone started knocking on my door and woke me up. I had an important meeting the next day so this was unfortunate. Additionally, as a woman staying there by myself, I was became terrified. The peephole was blocked so I could not see who was out there. I contacted the general manager who did not seemed concerned at all. He basically pinned it on me, saying that I should have called the front desk at the time. However, I was half asleep at the time and was not using my judgment. I would have thought he would have at least reviewed surveillance to ensure the safety of future guests, but he did not. I did not even get any thing to compensate me for being woken up at such an hour and being terrified. Additionally, it was strange that the peep hole was covered. I did enjoy the eating area and the dinner at the bar was fantastic.

This is a lovely hotel. The only problem is , the hotel only supplies one bartender. When the place is packed, you have to be patient getting a second drink, and paying your bill, even if you're charging the drinks to your room. A side note, the bartender is on point with mixed drinks.

The rooms look like dorms, no carpet and cheap furnishings. I would not recommend this hotel, I can't believe it was rated above 4 stars!

Modern, chic, sleek, beautiful lobby and everything is the building looks pretty new and nicely designed. However, do not forget this is located in downtown San Jose and you will wake up to a ghost town in the morning plus you won't totally feel at easy at night. I did not like the fact that I was on a business trip and as per my reservation, the breakfast was included. Then once there I was told that it wasn't. Eventually I went someowhere else with a colleague for our breakfast. Friendly receptionist, fast transation in and out. I liked how modern this hotel was but also I did not like the surprise of convention center tax. I was not aware of this kind of tax and found it not needed.
