I love Bicycle Express, they're a downtown San Jose staple in my opinion. Everyone is so friendly! Karen, Charles & Junior are great to chat with about anything from the latest in bike technology to the best dog breeds, and the bike mechanics in the back always make me laugh with their banter. The team here are definitely passionate about the business, bikes, and accessibility to anyone who wants to ride! They will even call manufacturers and retailers to get you the best deal and source any replacement parts directly. It's actually thanks to their rental program I learned how to ride a bike, so now I can finally catch up to my partner on rides around town, haha! Thanks BE for being so awesome, from purchasing to tune ups, popped tires, motor repairs, and more!”

“George can and will work on anything bicycle related. He also has parts and accessories that you will find nowhere else (other shops will even send you here). If you are into vintage bikes or Eroica, George can not only help you prepare a bike, he has some nice vintage bikes in stock. He is one-man operation, so it can be helpful to call ahead and make sure that he is there (he almost always is during posted hours, but a couple of times over the last 25 years, the door was closed and locked. Stuff happens.”

“Very honest..he tells you consequences before he makes money that's fabulous..example the tire I had was for mountain bike and for a cruise bike this will slow down the Rollin. Someone else will have change it and make the money”

“This place has saved my butt many times w/all the flat tires I get & it's located close to home. James is personable yet professional & is good at his job. He runs a clean efficient shop with various biking (and electric bike) related products as well as having a solid lineup of bikes and ebikes for sale. Repairs are reasonably cost & it's clear this guy knows his stuff so I've never run into an issue w/regard to James fixing whatever bike related problem I'm having. I would def recommend his shop especially if you're looking for a fast turn around & cost efficient solution to your biking or electric biking issue!”

“I have a bike event on Sunday. I went out for a training ride yesterday and blew out my back tire. I called the shop and they said tires are in stock. So during my hour break from work, I rushed down to Fast Bicycle Shop to drop off my bike to have new tubes and tires put on. I was expecting to just drop it off and pick it up either next day or Saturday. To my surprise, Tom (who I later found out is the owner of Fast Bicycle Shop) told me if I wait a few mins, he could change it both out! Wow! Sure enough, he did the work so quick I was in and out probably within 10 mins and I was able to make it back to work on time! For anyone looking for bicycle repair, I highly recommend Fast Bicycle Shop. The other man that took care of me previously, is named Ricardo and they both treated me so nicely and their work was excellent! I also love being able to support locally owned business!
