“Seem to be out of a lot of stuff, that the website says it's only available in store only. So how do I buy it? Also, the employees don't seem to know much about the products they're selling. You would think the person working in a specific department would know where product is, and a general understanding of what it does. And, the quality of the product. Sure the fishing pole might only be $40, but if it so terrible it won't catch fish, it's a waste of $40. It be nice if the employees would be able to direct the customer appropriately, or ask an other employee (even at anotherstore) for the answer.”
“I'm literally never going back to Dick's, unless it's an emergency! We came for my son's birthday last week and the gentleman that helped us(the owner I'm sure) spent at least half an hour setting our kid up. He asked him what he needed: bat, a catcher's glove; I even told him to slip in some catcher's gear. The gentleman asked my kid of he had a a bat in mind, but set him up to try out 6 bats and chose another bat he felt best for him. Next, he showed us some catcher's gear, and a glove. The little man also walked out with glasses and a WBC Mexico hat; the selection there was phenomenal!! I honestly can't wait to come back!!”

“Very wonderful employee helped me find what I needed (an exercise band for hip rehabilitation). I don't often go to a sporting goods store because I'm relatively sedentary and outta shape. I would have no idea where to find one or what kind I needed. She explained the benefits of each type of band, so now I'll be able to strut and saunter again instead of lurch and lumber along. AND river floats- which I needed for my river trip tomorrow- were on an end of summer sale, so the prices were great. Not only that, this Big 5 is right next to the beach so I got to enjoy a few carefree moments in the sun after shopping.”
