Phoenix Books is a favorite used bookstore in San Luis Obispo, described as a mandatory stop for voracious readers and bargain hunters. Prices are insanely good and a real value, with 25 cent and $1 specials. The staff is very helpful, offering service like visiting a library where you get help if you need it. The atmosphere is enhanced by relaxing classical music. While not the most efficiently organized or well-maintained bookstore, it is a place where customers can get lost in a very good way for hours, simply by aimlessly walking around and sorting through the treasure.
Way bigger than you think when you first walk in. Like most used book stores, the organization is kinda vibey, so just ask the person at the desk if you're looking for something in particular. Good prices!

Pretty neat Bookstore. Had a very good selection of books which I was able to buy 3 that have been on my list for a while. Service is very good guiding where things are.
