He called Italy immediately to get my order in with his regular summer order. I knew these were custom made and expected a long wait. But what I didn't expect was the wonderful, regular updates I received including when it was loaded on a ship, when the ship arrived in Long Beach and when his order of pots arrived including mine with a photo! It was packed extremely well as it is 90lbs. I couldn't be happier. Jacopo even messaged me when UPS delivered it to make sure I got it. No matter what your interest, this shop is exceptional. “I contacted the Original Strip Shop when I was looking for someone who could strip white paint off of a ceiling beam in my living room and refinish it to complement the walnut wood and wrought iron details that I have throughout my home. When Gus came over to assess the project and give me a quote, he was very honest about the complexity of the project and what would be required to pull it off as it was not something he does regularly. Gus and Anthony worked together on the project for over a week. They prepped everything in my home so nothing would get dirty and they cleaned up after themselves every day so while I was living in a construction zone, it was not unbearable! I was so impressed with their attention to detail and willingness to take the time needed to get it right. I am thrilled with the end result and would recommend them to anyone!”
“I can't say enough praises for Howard's Refinishing and Upholster. We had some cane chairs from my family. They were a pain. I asked Howard's if they could upholster them. They said sure, pick out some fabric. They were very patient with us as our whole family got involved in picking out the fabric. When we got the chairs back we were so excited to see that the workmanship was detailed and thoughtful. I would definitely recommend them. Our chairs are better than they ever were.”

“Look no further when needing any of your furniture restored/refinished! Howard’s furniture refinishing and upholstery is the best! They are communicative, professional, and personable. Ariel and his dad are phenomenal and listen to what your needs and desires fit your furniture. We had a 100+ year old Queen Anne curio cabinet needing repair/refinished. They were able to repair the 2 legs, glass, and front piece and refinish it to make it look like brand new! Words cannot express how grateful we are to have them do our piece! “We make it a point to visit this shop every year when we are there for summer vacation. The shop has a great assortment of baubles to admire. Vicky, the owner, is patient with pulling out whatever you want to see. I have never felt rushed or like I was annoying them with my questions, whether we purchased something or not. I purchased a couple of pairs of turquoise earrings this trip and was interested in the stories that came in with the pieces. Sadly for me I do not live closer. Highly recommend this shop, but give yourself time to do it justice.”
