βFirst time customer. Impressed! Brought in an old car with 3 must have repair items and two nice to haves (depending on cost). Car working great now, so obviously did a great job. The guys were understanding and accommodating regarding minimizing cash spent on an old car. Zero effort made to upsell or push to do more work than was absolutely necessary.β

βMy husband needed a smog check for his car. Because it was a Saturday, I had to call around to multiple places. I had originally called here and it went to voicemail. I didn't leave a message and continued down the list of smog check places. A few minutes later, Leon called me back and asked what he could help with. He stated that the shop was not open on weekends but he would open for us to get a smog check. How amazing is that! When we got there, Leon quickly took care of the smog check and then also did an oil change for us, all on a Sunday! We have found our new mechanic! Our service was very reasonably priced too! I will recommend Hi Tech Auto & Smog to anyone who asks!β

βIβve never written a review for a company that turned my business away but here goes.
I had been told by 2 large repair chains that I needed immediate strut and control arm replacement and was quoted over $2k for the repair by both. I also had a ticking noise from the engine area neither could diagnose. Nervous to drive, trying to figure out how I was going to afford the repair, and how serious both were I made an appt to drop it off for an evaluation. I was referred by my girlfriend who has been going there for years and swore by Richardβs knowledge and honesty. When I got there to drop it off for the day he immediately had it test driven and within 30 minutes they had figured out both issues. I learned the ticking was not engine related and the strut/control arms are far from an immediate concern. I drove away completely relieved. He also quoted me a cost much lower than the other 2.
Of course I will bring the car to him when the time comes, but knowing how hard it is to find a repair shop with this level of knowledge and integrity compelled me to put my experience out there for others trying to figure out where to go to read. Thanks guys!!β

βHad taken my car prior to bringing it to performance edge and was told that items that I had on my list which included rear brakes that I needed to replace both drum and pads. Knowingly more about rotors than drums I'd ask if the drum can be turned. He replied that every time you replace the pad you need to change the drum. Whattt? Gave me an very high quote for listed items. Took it to Stormy and he took good care of me. Prices reasonable in compared to previous shop.β

I wouldn't trust my '78 super beetle with anyone else. They helped me get smog ready and fully tuned up. Solved a painful electrical issue that no one else was able to. Got me road ready! They are doing amazing work!β
