“This week was my first visit and I was very happy with what I found. First, I'll say this store's greatest strength is its helpful staff. They personally helped me find some items I needed, and I noticed a few other customers also getting some advice. You should absolutely leverage their knowledge if you need help.

They have a great inventory too for a modest sized space. Being my first visit, I wandered the whole store, and noted a wide variety of art supplies. The odds a very good you will find what you need. But it's not perfect. Pricing on some items are great and competitive, but I noticed a few things that weren't. You still need to do your due diligence as a shopper to decide.

Parking is decent. I went on a weekday lunchtime and there were several spots to choose from. You should be okay.

I will 100% be shopping in this store again. It's fantastic to have a quality art supply shop on the Peninsula.”

“Me and some other volunteers of our museum came to Cheap Pete's to fix the glass on a framed picture. It was one of the biggest photos we had on display, and the glass had had a large hole in it for a long time. We only had to wait about 20 minutes before it came back out looking brand new. They even adjusted the wire in the back for us so that it was in a better position. The staff here really know how to make a customer happy. Every employee we encountered was friendly and accommodating, and we were checked in with several times to make sure we were being tended to. We also took the opportunity to buy some more frames during our visit. We were very satisfied.

Cheap Pete's certainly isn't cheap, however. I think the quality of the service and the product overrides the expense, but I wouldn't go here if you don't want to spend too much on frames and such. Overall, 4/5.”
