“All three of my kids have gone through Little Wonders, starting at 2, 18 months, and now 17 months. It's been such a meaningful part of our family's early years. Teacher Suzanne and Teacher Lisa are exceptional. Suzanne's energy in particular has been a gift — my oldest started off incredibly shy, and Suzanne was the one who helped her come out of her shell. Watching that shift happen was one of the more beautiful early-childhood moments I've experienced as a parent. Days at Little Wonders are full of water play, song time, art, and real lessons in sharing, taking turns, and being part of a small community. The kids learn through play, but they're also gently learning who they are. What surprised me most as a parent is how much I've gotten out of it too. The parent discussions are some of the most insightful conversations I've had about raising kids--sibling rivalry alone has come up in ways that genuinely changed how I show up at home. It's not just drop-off; it's a place where families grow together. If you're considering a parent-child preschool, Little Wonders is worth every minute. Highly recommend.”

“My wife and I were married at the San Mateo Arboretum in June of 2019, it just occurred to me I should post a review! We were very happy with the venue, we had the wedding out in the garden with about 52 people. We used the Pump House to stage things, and had the buffet tables outside. We were able to bring in a catering truck with a pizza oven, and the caterer provided the servers to stage the food and serve the drinks. Our contact helped us with the logistics and was there for the event, when there was an issue with another event in the park blocking the access she quickly worked it out with them and got the path cleared. There are some limitations to work with: no real kitchen for cooking, no dishwashing, and the interior would be cramped for 45 people, so hope for clear weather and bring a mobile caterer. Don't expect to play really loud music or have a big dance party on the grass. But for a small low-key wedding the garden is fantastic, and makes a wonderful backdrop. The price is very affordable, and we were able to book it with 4 months notice, so it was a very good option for us... Highly recommended if it fits your needs!”

“A great resource - hired a couple of workers for the glamorous job of digging a hole in heavy clay and hauling rocks and sand. You know, the stuff we are just too old to do ourselves. The folks in the front office were very welcoming and quickly found two for the task. Hard workers, especially after my wheelbarrow broke (its old, like me) and they had to haul drain rock in buckets to the back of the property.”

“What an absolutely extraordinary team of people. My dad went to hospice care after going to the ER for his untreated cancer. His health deteriorated quickly so we had a nurse come everyday before he passed. Every single nurse we worked with was an absolute blessing. They were knowledgeable and comforting. They gave my dad attention and care while providing my mom and I with guidance and support. These were the worst days of my life but every time a hospice care person came to visit us, they lifted our spirits and brought light to such a traumatic situation. I will always be grateful that we got to work with mission hospice for my dads end of life care.”

“I’ve been a client of St. Vincent de Paul for about a year now, and I still clearly remember my very first visit. I was welcomed with such warmth and kindness that it immediately made me feel safe and seen. I remember standing in line for breakfast and being gently asked, “What would you like to have?” — such a simple question, but the way it was asked, with genuine care, meant so much. And those small details, like the handwritten notes with positive affirmations about God and love on their breakfast bags….they truly touched my heart. It’s the little things, but they make a big difference, especially during difficult times. This past year hasn’t been easy for me, but being surrounded by people who sincerely want to help and make a difference has given me strength. You don’t just provide services — you give hope. You remind people that there is still light, even at the end of a very dark tunnel.
