About Coyote Point Recreation Area

Coyote Point Recreation Area is a great beach and park by the bay. It is a wonderful and fun spot to spend the whole day, with a great beach featuring gentle waves and warmer water. The area includes beaches and picnic areas, a playground with a long slide, a volleyball court, and clean restrooms. It serves as an entrance to the bay trail for running and is a sacred place for many, also known as a summer swimming hole. The park is well taken care of. Visitors should note it is a rocky beach, not a sandy one, and the little rocks can be rough on feet. It can get windy often, so checking the forecast is advised. There is a $6 parking fee. The right side of the park by the rocks is an amazing spot for fishing. Occasionally, there can be a strong stinky smell in the evening. The playground is sometimes not open. Overall, it is a good place for a party or a family visit.
