Golden Nursery is a great fixture and excellent nursery in the San Mateo area, considered a diamond in the rough and by far a favorite for many. With a pedigree going back generations, it is run by knowledgeable second or third generation owners and friendly, helpful staff who really know what they’re talking about. They offer expert advice for the local, sometimes challenging environment and provide great customer service, often giving specific tips on plant care and remedies. The nursery boasts a very good selection of healthy plants, with a great selection of fruit trees, vegetables, succulents, flowers, trees, and unique stuff not seen elsewhere, including specific varieties suited to the area. They also carry all the tools and supplies one might need. While perhaps not the best prices, they are reasonable, and the value comes from the outstanding knowledge, honest service, and quality products. It is a wonderful nursery definitely worth a trip and a search to find.

I shopped there over years for reason that they have unusual plants & acknowledged on plants. The quality of their plants is wonderful.

Came here to get advice on repotting some plants and the staff were super helpful! This nursery also has a sizeable selection of plants and gardening accessories.
