“Golden Nursery has been a huge help for our group of volunteers as we add fruit trees and flowering shrubs at our local public elementary school! Thank you to Chris and the whole crew for giving thoughtful advice and support as we selected trees and prepared for our project. They helped pick trees that will fruit in the late spring and early summer, or over the fall and winter while kids are in session - so important for the hands on experience we want kids to have. We’ve gotten lots of advice on water friendly, often native plants that will be beautiful while also bringing more pollinators to our campus. Golden has a great variety of fun plants, including passionfruit, that we’re looking forward to planting next. Such an awesome local business that our community is looking forward to supporting.”

“My wife and I were married at the San Mateo Arboretum in June of 2019, it just occurred to me I should post a review! We were very happy with the venue, we had the wedding out in the garden with about 52 people. We used the Pump House to stage things, and had the buffet tables outside. We were able to bring in a catering truck with a pizza oven, and the caterer provided the servers to stage the food and serve the drinks. Our contact helped us with the logistics and was there for the event, when there was an issue with another event in the park blocking the access she quickly worked it out with them and got the path cleared. There are some limitations to work with: no real kitchen for cooking, no dishwashing, and the interior would be cramped for 45 people, so hope for clear weather and bring a mobile caterer. Don't expect to play really loud music or have a big dance party on the grass. But for a small low-key wedding the garden is fantastic, and makes a wonderful backdrop. The price is very affordable, and we were able to book it with 4 months notice, so it was a very good option for us... Highly recommended if it fits your needs!”

“I needed to figure out how to get a bunch of roly-polies for my kid’s biology class. And I sort of randomly walked into Green Fashion Nursery, and it turned out to be such a great stop!

A young guy was watering the plants, and after hearing what I was looking for, he was super nice and let me search for roly-polies under the pots. I quickly found more than enough. Later, I also met the owner, and she was super friendly too.

Really nice people and such a pleasant experience. Definitely a 5-star visit!”

“What a large variety of products to look at and compare in store, not just online! Two employees helped me find unusual items and walked me to the right aisle and bay, very pleasant. Checkout was straightforward. Highly recommend.”

“Don’t understand why the ratings are so low. I dealt with Jube (sorry if I got name wrong) and set up a scenario for him over phone. Long story short, we moved and wouldn’t be able to deliver same day but he stated so long as we are there next day by 7am(730am cutoff), we’d be squared away.

Answered all my questions and took time to answer back despite closing hours (7:57pm call in).
