The United States Postal Service is a secure, reliable, and affordable provider delivering mail and packages across the country. This local Post Office is an excellent and centrally located location in downtown San Mateo with a historical feel. The lobby is very clean and nice. There is lots of street parking, though it can sometimes be difficult to find. The staff is friendly, outstanding, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous, polite, helpful, and awesome. Service is outstanding. There is usually a line and it moves slowly, often due to customers. This is one of the better post offices and a go-to place for many.
The Post Office removed the drop boxes for pedestrians to use. Now, to send mail, I have to stand in the street to use the drive through post box. What kind of regressive policy is this?!

I have been a customer here for at least 5 years. It is an excellent location, lots of street parking, very friendly staff and outstanding service. The lobby is always very clean and a very nice. I would not go anywhere else as they always take care of me.
