“I've been here a few times and I've been impressed each time. I've worked at a few bike shops as a mechanic so I like to think I know my stuff, but this last time I came in I was very impressed. I didn't know that different brands of headsets use different angle sealed cartridge bearings, and using a lower crown race with the wrong angle won't work... but the guy here knew that and even helped me find and check the right one. He also knew right where the 12x100 through axle wheels were for my build. Found one that looked hardly used for $80 Bike DIY heaven.”

“Hi everyone! My name is Kimberly, and I joined Opening the World in the fall of 2024. This was my first year traveling with the group, and it was honestly one of the best experiences I have ever had. I had never traveled outside of the US or explored any states besides Nevada.

This past summer, I participated in our US road trip, where we visited many states and saw beautiful sights. I learned so much during this trip. We even volunteered for the Navajo tribe during their annual Sun Dance ceremony, which was a wonderful experience.

I am incredibly grateful to have met Jeannine and the rest of the OTW team, as this program has significantly expanded my social networks and opened my eyes to the world around me. I plan to continue my involvement with Opening the World and look forward to volunteering with the community and traveling again this upcoming year.

I want to thank Jeannine for everything. She is such an amazing and kind person, and throughout the trip, she did so much to ensure that everyone felt safe and comfortable. It honestly made us feel connected as a community.

Here are some of my favorite photos that I took!”

“GDB does a great job raising and taking care of dogs. As a care provider they take appts for their dogs and the vet team does a great job monitoring the dog's history. Just brought dog in to take care of allergy and itch related issue and picked up monthly heartguard medicine, weighed, nails clipped and got some antibacterial soap and mint toothpaste. We're ready for the weekend”

“I was a punk on the streets and at 22, my then girlfriend was homeschooling me from the UCSF Psych Dept in 1975. I did this process which I call #THP and back in 1975 after doing this incredible self Deprogramming, I found that vein of gold, the Engrams/Triggers of my unconscious behavior.”

“While I was on my job search, Rich at Bloom Marin helped me put together a professional wardrobe that gave me the confidence I needed to succeed. This is a photo of myself & Stella, the bulldog. Stella is pictured at the donation entrance to Bloom. The suit I am wearing was selected by Richard & photographed by my mother Tamra Phillips. We ❤️ Bloom Marin. ★★★★★”

“This place is a lifesaver and we appreciate the volunteers so much! My husband needed a walker, shower transfer chair, and a commode and we were able to pick these items up for free with one trip. Now that we're done with them, we cleaned them thoroughly and gave them back. We saved hundreds of dollars vs buying all of these items new. THANK YOU!!”

“I am beyond grateful for the Ritter Center, I recently became a patient here again after many years, I can't express in words enough how much I appreciate all the staff working here, It seems as if who ever has been in charge of hiring the staff has been very thoughtful and specifically selected them to create a very healthy/inclusive work place environment and culture, everyone from the security guard to the doctors have been nothing but the up most professional while keeping a sense of empathy and compassion, I personally have never felt so heard and valued as a patient, the staff seem to enjoy working together and do a great job of communicating, that energy is felt when waiting and it makes the difference between a positive or negative experience. The past couple months have been especially challenging for me, from physical to mental health I've had un expected hurdles, I felt I could not handle alone and really felt lost for a moment, My skepticism of western medicine and negative past experiences created these negative pre conceived ideas towards doctors, which made it hard to trust and ask for help, I am so glad I did and found a sanctuary in Ritter Center that has been a vessel for healing in my life, my views have been changed for the better, I feel more comfortable than ever honestly discussing my medical concerns with my doctor's, My psych Katt seems to have the special special ability of making everyone feel seen, people feel comfortable each in their unique way, in such manner that they feel inclined to allow themselves to be seen, it's refreshing to hear a western doctor embrace blending eastern ways of viewing over all health and vitality, her duality of being very in tune with spirituality and grounded logical thinking make her a valuable asset to a diverse range of walks of life. My primary care Dr.Dunn has treated me with grace and patients I've never been given in the past, I really feel like she has given me face value and does not treat me different cause of my age or back round, she is compassionate and seems to have a lot of real life experience as well as seems passionate about her knowledge of medicine, she took the extra time and effort to get me the help I needed in a much dire time, my mental and over all health is in such a better place because of them, I can't express in words how how grateful I am for everyones continued effort in making Ritter a great place. “This Process is a once in a life time experience. The investment sounds like an extraordinary amount, I realize, yet, it will be the best financial investment you will ever make for yourself, your spouse and your children or your future life. This is a generation upon generations investment. You will never be the same. No one ever could have convinced me this would be true by words. When “they” say process, they mean deep deep rooted improvement to your very being. I challenge anyone to take this leap for yourself. The best money I have ever spent.”

“Art Works Downtown in San Rafael is a must-visit for art enthusiasts. Located in a stunning, former opera house with a maze-like layout, it offers a unique setting to explore, making the venue itself a work of art. But what truly sets it apart is the community of artists. They are so kind and inviting, and openly share their passion for their craft. You'll find a diverse range of artistic styles represented here, making it an enriching experience for any art lover.”

“BEST METHADONE CLINIC EVER!!!
I moved out to the Bay Area from Sacramento and needed to find a new clinic by my house. Marin Treatment Center is HANDS DOWN THE VERY BEST!! I’ve never been treated so good and helped out with everything from information about setting up transportation through my insurance so I can easily get to the clinic everyday to referring me to doctors and dentist’s offices since I moved and don’t have a primary care or dentist anymore. Every person who works here actually cares and wants you to move forward with your life and they will help out with whatever they can to make sure you succeed. All the other methadone offices need to copy however Marin Treatment Center operates so they are ran exactly the same and I bet you would have a ton of happy healthy sober people!!!!!
Thank You Guys Soooo Much!!!
You Guys Deserve Way More Than 5 Stars”

I'm in a tough position currently and they did everything quickly to help me out. I'm thankful rental assistance programs exist these days. I don't know what I'd do without it.”
