The website doesn’t allow to continue after you choose Quest site to visit to make an appointment. Also does not list full hours of Operation. I went 2 times in person to D st loacation wasn’t able to make an appointment there in person. So it has taken me one hour trying to make an appointment. So I will just walk in and bring a book to read.

The Technician was pleasant, thorough and efficient. The only complaint I would have is the San Rafael location is not easy to find. It would be nice if there was signage in the front of the building. Otherwise it was a quick and easy visit.

Center does not look, feel or smell clean. Expedited check in does not expedite check in. All the questions the machine asked me, the lab tech behind the desk also asked me. Why the redundancy?

Horrible attention to their patients, rude receptionist!

The tech who drew my blood is extraordinary. Sadly, Quest techs seem to work in run down, poorly maintained and presented facilities. Did I mention understaffed? The staffing may be changing for the better. We'll see. For now, management ought to realize that none of the techs I've spoken with, and there have been hundreds, intend to stay with Quest. They experience no corporate loyalty so they don't feel it either. Poor business model for the long run. It costs much more to train than to retain.

Here's what you need to know about Quest Diagnostics: I have no reason to question the quality of the laboratory services in terms of accuracy, reliability, etc. That is not the problem here. In years past, the atmosphere at a Quest lab site was rather relaxed and low-key. Often, you could be seen on a drop-in basis, although you might have to wait 10-20 minutes for that option. However, a few years ago Quest implemented a rigid schedule for patient appointments, and allocated just 10 minutes for each appointment slot. If you happen to arrive 5-10 minutes after the beginning of your time slot, you run the risk of being refused service because you are 'late.' Similarly, if you come to the lab without an appointment, you will be instructed that waiting for drop-in service is pretty much a waste of time - as all the available service slots are filled. You will not be seen unless you register with the computer check-in device in the waiting room. You have to stand in front of this device and, among other things, produce your driving license and primary and secondary insurance cards -for the computer to photograph (front and back). If you are little unsteady on your feet, try opening your wallet, fumbling around in search of the necessary cards, and placing them in the appropriate slot to be photographed. It can be a time-consuming challenge. You are not considered 'checked-in' until you complete the process. If you do not complete the process before the end of the time slot for your appointment, you may be refused service as you are 'late.' As you might imagine, the rigid and inflexible schedule of 10-minute appointment slots invariably results in stressful interactions between staff and patients. Any glitch in adhering to the 10-minute schedule put the lab staff under stress, and less likely to be helpful to any patient without an appointment, or someone who needs extra time. I assume the rigid schedule for service improves bottom-line profitability for the Quest Corporation - even as it sometimes makes for an unpleasant atmosphere at the lab site. It cannot be easy to work as a lab tech at Quest these days. I imagine there is more turnover of staff. Oh well, I guess if the value of the Quest stock price remains robust, why would anyone at Quest really care if it is the lab staff and patients who pay the price?

The woman who took my blood was exceptionally good--I did not feel a thing. This has always been my experience at Quest.

The Worst Customer service I've EVER received. There was absolutely no understanding, compassion or common decency and good etiquette on the staff's part. On top of that while I was trying to talk to the technician, a mean, sad and bitter other client interrupted me which turned into an argument, while the staff member was ABSOLUTELY terrible at doing their job... I wouldn't recommend this place if someone offered me a Trillion dollars to do so. TERRIBLE that I was treated so terribly. It really hurt me and ruined my day. ABSOLUTELY NO COMPASSION OR DIGNITY AT ALL WHATSOEVER. If I could give them a negative number star rating I would.

Went there yesterday to turn in a sputum test, ordered by my UC Pulmonologist. I got an argument from their rude phlebotomist, who found a bloodwork order but somehow missed the sputum test order. He flatly and rudely REFUSED to send it for testing. Another sore point regarding Quest Labs is that should one try and book an appoinment by phone or on-line, Quest's IDIOT A1 computer cannot handle a name that is is longer than 6 letters. After countless past attempt, I NO LONGER USE QUEST FOR BLOODWORK, ETC. There are far superior labs out there!

Worse than the DMV? Maybe not, but this place is a dive. Does not inspire confidence. Unfriendly staff. Dirty. You have to enter your information into the screen that wobbles back-and-forth every time you touch it.

This is t he most impersonal rude, unprofessional uncaring so called diagnostics I have ever visited in my entire life. And I've been dealing with diagnostic centers for 41 years in 7 different states and none are as rude as even the recorded line you hear when you call. Just call and listen yourself

They use a stupid phone tree maze that makes it nearly or fully impossible to respect our time by simply directly efficiently reaching and talking with a real live human being. Just a stupid circuitious automated phone tree maze, wasting valuable time loopoing around in instead of just calling and reaching a live human being to talk with at their office.

I'm a 46 year old male with large veins. No one ever has had trouble hitting my veins. no one. The girl who drew my blood 5 days ago left a hematoma on my arm so large I'm still embarrassed to show my arm in public.
This trained employee of quest diagnostics jabbed the needle under the skin, poking the vein, *then* counted "1, 2, 3". I knew i was in for a little bruising after that malpractice... but not ready for what came next.
As i drove home the band-aid popped off, i look down and see a gumball sized red bubble where my blood was drawn. I don't do well with blood, i nearly passed out while driving, pulled over, tried to call quest, they don't have people on the other end.
I'll spare the gory details but these are pictures from three four and five days AFTER this trained employee of quest jabbed my arm. I will never set foot there again and as i've stated i'm freaking embarrassed to show my arm in public. Especially given how veiny I am to begin with.
considering lawyering up after not being able to reach a human representative for quest over the phone for five straight days.

Its a little low rent and a fast food version of a medical lab but it serves those of us in the community who rely on Medi-Cal covered clinics. As for the run of the mill UA testing and generic administration and testing of various maladies and vaccines- its when they are required to hit the vein of a hard stick that the limitations begin to show.

February 08 2023.My wife made an appointment for 7:40am. We arrived at 7:45 am and signed in at 7:48 am. The person worked there was very rude and she refused to attend my wife. I will never come back there. Poor service and personal very unprofessional.
