“It’s a nice gym with lots of amenities but it’s starting to show its age. Clubsport was built in 1989 and it shows. I really wanted to join this gym but I couldn’t justify the price. While it is a better gym in almost every way over 24 hour fitness, it’s not worth nearly 9 times the price on a monthly basis and that’s with the new year promotion where they are waiving the $300 initiation fee they normally charge.”

“If you’re thinking about joining Equinox San Ramon, you really need to talk to Maryam. I can’t recommend her highly enough. I’ve been a member at multiple Equinox locations (Woodland Hills, Encino, Beverly Hills, Westwood, Club SF, Pine Street, San Mateo) and even had an Orangetheory membership, and I can say with total confidence that Maryam is a gem. She’s the most caring, attentive rep I’ve ever had.

Let me share a personal moment that shows just how much she stands out. I once left my engagement and wedding rings in the gym shower. Initially, they couldn’t be found, and I was panicking. I went straight to Maryam, and she immediately calmed me down, got me water, and assured me we’d figure it out. Another team member, Hailey, had seen my ring, and together they made sure it was found and returned to me. That personal care turned a very emotional moment into a positive one.

Maryam also went out of her way to stack every discount when I re-signed after maternity leave (Amex Platinum perks, referral bonuses, holiday promos), and she resolved an old leave issue, never missing a single message from me. She always checks in whenever I’m in the club, asks how I’m doing, and invites me to stop by her office just to say hello.

The entire staff is fantastic. Kyle, the general manager, is incredibly kind—he’s a first-time dad, and when I signed up, he played with my son and had him giggling the whole time. Everyone, including Hailey and Kyle, is wonderful. Maryam, in particular, has been extraordinary, and the whole team makes this club a special place.”
