“Bricks & Minifigs San Ramon has plenty of big, retired LEGO sets, like Lion Knights’ Castle (10305) and Medieval Blacksmith (21325). There are good pre-built sets as well. I got a completed Rivendell (10316) with all the minifigs for $400. I have never seen Giant Chess (852293), an impressive fantasy-themed chess set, and am glad that I did even if I can’t afford to buy it. Minifigs can be on the pricey side but remember that you are not paying for shipping. I’m also amused by their custom sets, like the pinball machines. FYI in case you don’t use social media, there are a lot of new sets! Do not attempt to peel the printed price tag off the box. The chance of tearing the box is high. Be careful when taking off the big price tag with red around it. It’s held by a small piece of masking tape that also might take off some ink.”

“After nearby Jo-Ann closed Michael's has been our family's go to for yarn and sewing but also general crafting supplies. I feel like things have gotten very expensive overall here.. last weekend we went for four balloons and paid close to $80 with air filled. When Party City was around it wasn't this bad. The store itself is well maintained and we are losing brick and mortar crafting stores left and right from e-comm giants unfortuantely.. but still hard to stomach the price shock. Also wish they become bit more transparent with what's true promo vs actual price.. feel couponing strategy is inconsistent and confusing.”
