Nurseries & Gardening near San Ramon, CA

“I have been doing business with Devil Mountain for 20 years . I am a licensed Landscape Architect and a licensed general contractor. I'm also a licensed landscape contractor. This Wholesale nursery is for licensed contractors only. If you do not have a contractors license, you are not allowed to purchase from Devil Mountain . Any ( non contractor ) leaving a bad review here because they were disappointed by the customer service is not leaving a valid review. I have worked in the Nursery industry. The customer service work is a huge part of it. I spent long days answering questions to homeowners about plants. Devil mountain is very clear upfront that they are not a retail Nursery. By doing this they are able to focus on Licensed contractors, and Landscape Architect like myself who are consistently doing significant projects. When I read a review like the one left by Raylee saying that she called there for free advice about nematodes in her lawn, it makes me wonder if she realizes that the person who answered the phone may have been working on the order that I needed pricing for. Devil Mountain is not just a nursery. It is a brokerage. If I communicate with them in advance they can get me anything I want. Other people leaving reviews here saying that their prices are the same as Home Depot might want to try emailing the Home Depot three weeks in advance with a very specific plant order specifying the genus species and cultivar and see how that works out. Devil Mountain is not perfect but as a business owner, I have a lot of respect for this organization. They've got their act together, and for the most part, they are very dependable for professionals like myself.”

“Came into the store with a lot of questions about the maintenance of my koi pond. Juanita and Hank were extremely kind, helpful, knowledgable, and patient. I especially am grateful that they were so patient with me because I felt very amateur about the pond. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs help with their pond or who wants to start one.”

“One of my all time favorite stores. They always have what I need and if they don’t, the awesome staff will make arrangements to get me what I need. Best prices around!!”

“This is the only place I take any small engine repairs. Concrete saws, generator and power washer has been repaired by them. Definitely coming back for future repairs.”

“In the quiet turning of the seasons,
When the sun stands long and patient in the sky,
There lies a garden prepared—
SummerWinds, set in the gentle hills of Dublin.

Not by haste was it made beautiful,
Nor by chance its abundance formed,
But by steady hands and faithful tending,
Line upon line, root upon root.

There, the earth yields without boasting,
And the leaves whisper without pride.
Indoor and outdoor, all things flourish—
Each in its appointed place, each in its time.

A massive offering of color and life,
Yet it does not strive nor contend;
For the lily does not force its bloom,
And the tree does not hurry its fruit.

So too the soul that walks among these paths
Finds rest in quiet observation—
To see that growth is patient,
And beauty is given, not grasped.

The wise heart learns here:
To plant without fear,
To water without worry,
And to trust the increase to God.

For as the garden stands in fullness,
So shall the faithful life bear fruit—
In season, in stillness, in truth.”

“Funky old school store. So much stuff in a small space! Packed floor to ceiling. Lower prices than big box on basic electrical and plumbing. Super helpful staff.”

“Great nursery in Pleasanton, CA. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good selection of trees, flowers, veg, and garden accents. Pretty much anything you need to prep, plant or upgrade your garden can be found here. They also sell local honey and jam - yum! I love this place and it's always my first stop for anything my garden needs.”

“Just came to this nursery to buy a lemon tree and it was so fun. I ended up buying a bonsai and 2 lemon trees. The owner was a really nice guy and was super helpful. Prices were much less than expected. Found a new spot.”

“John and Roberto are great! They've worked closely with us redoing our back yard, and John has been wonderful about answering my questions. Our backyard went from nearly nothing to a beautiful oasis in very little time. And we continue to use them to help our trees. John has always been professional and courteous.”

“Best Home Depot at Bay Area! Everyone over there is Very helpful. Specially, Antonio was the one helps me a lot to find some products for my plants. Since I am using that product I see difference at all of my plants. He was very helpful. Also, he gave me a good deal to get roses for my garden!
Thank you, Antonio”

“The best service , I have ever received in this store. I rushed late at night to pick up a counter top grill. Cashiers were very helpful. Antonio who helped me carry the grill to my car and help with propane tank absolutely amazing.thanks Antonio and the two female cashiers who help on 7/3/26 around 9:30 pm. Keep up the good work.”

“Well stocked, courteous, knowledgeable staff, great secure parking, competitive prices. I like that I can view and order online and either pick up or have items delivered in a day or so. Now that I am getting up in years, their delivery services—especially for larger items is really helpful. My wife loves to peruse their garden center and always seems to find just what she is looking for. We have been satisfied customers ever since they opened this location. Highly recommend.”

“My wife and I have undertaken the daunting job of upgrading our home. The first thing on the list was our kitchen appliance suite. We shopped many stores and purveyors of appliances... and I mean MANY.Our first replacement was the refrigerator. We found that this HD store and its service, personnel and subcontractors, stands apart. As indicated, we shopped refrigerators and ended up back at this HD store. Our decision was a result of selection, the sales personnel and after sales service. We purchased the refrigerator and it was installed. We were totally pleased. We then, a month later, shopped for a dishwasher. Once again, shopped around. Ended up back at this store. Again, totally satisfied.Stove/oven, same process. Done.Clothes washer, busticated. Same process, ended up at this store..... more to come... Later.”

“Home Depot is a homeowners paradise, they have so much amazing products I could lose myself in the store in the aisles for hours. I love shopping here when I need to pick up any home improvement items. I will say the one thing that I don't like about home Depot is the customer service of the availability of the associates I feel like I can never find anyone to help me when I need to find a specific item more staffing would be nice other than that everything else is enjoyable when visiting here.”
