“Rooms are big enough for one or two persons. Its a bit outdated, but everything you need, is available.
Bed is lovely! No noise whatsoever.
More then enough parkingspace ( free ).
The restaurant isn't cheap, especially if you have been further east. But the food is good, fast delivery.
If you need 1 night to stay: this is a good place to stay.”

“Clean room, wood floors, clean bathroom. This is better than I imagined it to be. There is an ice machine outside, free coffee in the office(mornings). Plenty of parking spots. Like one reviewer mentioned, I wish they had provided shampoo. Our room didn’t have a fridge/microwave but there are rooms with a fridge and microwave option.
Close to the coast. Can taking evening walks along the coastal trails.
The hotel also has a 10% discount coupon for food purchased San Simeon Beach Bar & Grill.”

“We enjoyed our stay, wonderful and life long memory stay.Rooms were clean and neat.Enjoyed the Pacific view from the rooms in the second level of the hotel.Always choose second level, you will have ocean view. The lady in the office was very cordial.Hotel located just few meters from Pacific Highway.Parking is plenty. When we requested, they extended stay for one more hour yesterday.
Highly recommended.”
“We wanted to stay somewhere on the coast but had a small budget so we chose this place because of the easy access to the beach. Unfortunately you don’t have a beach view, but we didn’t spend much time in the room anyway. I loved that we were able to use all the same amenities as the more expensive Cavalier next door such as volleyball, yard games, and fire pits which you can sit around in the evening.
The room was comfortable and had all the basics we needed. It is quiet and cool in San Simeon and we enjoyed touring Hearst Castle and watching the elephant seals just minutes down the road. Restaurants in the area are pretty pricey, I might add.
Overall this is a nice place to come for a getaway on a budget!”
“Julia Morgan is the inspiration of the theme of this Hotel. We revisit Hearst castle every couple of years, and this is my favorite hotel. It was $40 more than the cheaper hotels across the Hwy. It's well worth it. We'll keep coming back.”
