“Stayed 2 nights in May, 2025. Our room was cozy, quiet and comfortable. You can't beat the location, the ocean is right across the street so if you leave a window open, you can hear the waves from your room at night. I can't say enough about the staff, warm, hospitable and super friendly. Especially Sierra and Erica, they were very helpful with anything from dinner recommendations to keeping the concessions staked in their cozy reception room with a view!”

“We loved the Cambria Shores Inn! We were visiting with our dog and everything was great. The rooms were newer and were generally clean and welcoming. Our only complaints were the DVD player they provided (with a library of DVDs in the office) was not plugged into the TV and no one knew how to fix it, so, that was useless, but we improvised and just stared at the ocean across the street instead. The other issue would be that the window in the kitchen area did not have a blackout shade, so the light was a little much early in the morning. Other than that, we loved it! They offered a free glass of wine at their wine bar, free brownies and cookies each night, a gift bag for our doggo and a breakfast basket that they hung on the door in the morning. Definitely worth it with all the extras and we would happily stay here again.”
“This place is AMAZING. The guy at the front desk took the time to show us around and gave us a lot of great information on the place. We had a huge spacious room that was very quiet and private. Absolutely loved it and the free drink hour was amazing. Even if you aren’t 21 they make you mocktails upon request :)”

“Wow!! Windrush rooms are super cute! My husband and I stayed in Cove (corner unit) and my mother-in-law in the unit Bay which was right next door. Both seemed newly remodeled, and definitely decorated with care... lots of cute details, clean, and cozy! Loved that it was quiet with just a few units. Watch my video tour... that sums it up!”

“We loved our experience at the Bluebird Inn. My husband and I had been a couple of times over 20 years ago but wanted to share the coastal experience with our teenage daughters. We hadn't been back in decades but the rooms were just as good, staff just as friendly and same wonderful location. This place is wonderful!”

“We had an excellent stay here. We booked on short notice and were very happy with our room and the included breakfast. The location is a short drive from the center of town (don't try to walk down the steep road as there is no room to walk on the side of the road). The inn had nice amenities including a small seating area in the room and drinks and snacks. Highly recommend this location.”
“In 1996, I visited Cambria, CA, as a teenager, largely uninterested in the town but captivated by Hearst Castle. Nearly 30 years later, I returned with my wife for a vacation. While browsing online, we discovered a charming hotel that offered EV charging, perfect for our Tesla. Upon arrival, the front desk staff greeted us with exceptional friendliness and professionalism. Our room was stunning; immaculately clean, well-organized, and equipped with a comfortable bed. The true highlight, however, was its proximity to the ocean. A short walk across a quiet street led to a scenic wooden boardwalk and paths down to the shore, where we could dip our feet in the water. We were thoroughly impressed by the room’s quality, the outstanding staff, and the convenience of the EV charging station. We’ll definitely return on our next trip to Cambria.”
“A lovely stay, rooms are spacious and clean. Shower clean and average pressure.
We found the breakfast burrito was ok. Would have made a huge difference with some salsa. Probably the best option for the paper bag room delivery, which was quite a nice idea.

Robles and the Big Sur.”

“My husband & I stayed 4 nights for our 40th anniversary. The Sea Otter Inn is an enchanting, cozy, empecably maintained property. It is located towards the end of Moonstone Beach, across the street from the boardwalk and the ocean. We received a complimentary breakfast each day. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a wonderful place to unwind and relax.”

“I can’t recommend the Dinner Escape Package more!!!! All the staff was so nice and we felt very taken care of. What a wonderful pet-friendly suite! Clean, private and spacious. As another reviewer mentioned, no A/C but it cools off enough at night for it to be comfortable in the room with the windows open. We will definitely be coming back here again. We brought our dog and he enjoyed it even more than us. I think it’s his favorite trip he’s even been on!”

“Best place to stay on the strip! Perfect getaway. Love the lobby decor, the little cocktails in the lobby, the fire pit outside for evening views/sunsets over the ocean…The rooms are so well decorated, every amenity provided from sis like treatments, to a baskets full of beach towels to take down to the water, but the best part is the picnic basket you get in the morning to enjoy in your room or take to the beach filled with fresh bakery intend, coffee in a thermos, fresh bottled OJ and the compliment sparkling wine!”

“I LOVE the Fireside Inn Oceanfront on Moonstone Beach. The rooms are beautiful, accommodating and oh so Perfect! Oceanfront rooms, patios with seating and the most unbelievable views of the Pacific Ocean! On this trip, the Front Office Manager, “Brandon” , was extremely professional, knowledgeable and very kind. He greeted me, answered all my questions and was very thorough in my reservation and made sure my Service dog, “Thor” , and I were well taken care of. This young man is a definite asset to the Fireside Inn.
All in all THIS is the place to be! I highly recommend the Fireside Inn on Moonstone Beach. A++++”

“Location was perfect as it was directly across the street from Moonstone Beach and next door to Moonstone Bar and Grill which was very good. The room was very clean and quiet. Also, David was very pleasant to work with. It provided a wonderful getaway and is in close proximity to Hearst Castle, Seal Beach and the town of Cambria.”
“Lovely! Moonstone Beach is right across the street! It's quiet and gorgeous!!! If you love rocks it's covered in beautiful rocks and sea glass. Lots of what looks like moonstone but is chalcedony. The hotel is so adorable and very clean! The bedding was beautiful and clean, it looked brand new. The pillows were amazing, I definitely thought about taking one home? Get the ocean front view! I slept like a baby hearing the ocean waves all night and the view in the morning is amazing!!! Ask for a fan if you need a cross breeze because there isn't air-conditioning or a fan in the room and the windows dont stay open. I used their bathroom tray to prop them open? I wish I could have stayed longer???”
“Staff upon check-in was very pleasant and friendly. Very nice, clean, facility. Comfy rooms. We had an ocean view. Only issue was waiting for a long time at the desk one evening and finally gave up when no one came. No signs they were out, no bells to ring, nothing. Frustrating but glad it wasn't a big deal for us. We would stay here again.”
“Super charming hotel! Would absolutely stay here again. The room was clean, comfortable and calming. Beautiful views, stunning location. Just a little struggle with the wifi and the coffee machine in our room not working well, however Sam, the front desk attendant was kind enough to get us some extra coffee! I think there are just a couple areas of opportunity to make someone's experience extra special, BUT I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.”
