“Super friendly staff! Im a new pet owner with lots of questions about vaccines and microchiping etc. and they are very patient and nice every time I go in for my puppies vaccines. Its also extremely affordable compared to going to a vet or "low cost" vet clinics.”
“Office is well run. Everyone is competent. The first priority is care for the pet. I feel the first suggestions for care are the Cadillac solution. I prefer to start with a phased approach. The vet is willing to do this if asked. Once we were working together on a plan all was fine. In terms of recommending the facility to others it has to be with the recognition that the pet owner should discuss the level of care and not just to the initial suggestion. Costs are high for all care and medicines.”
“Dr Annette Richmond is Extremely Caring and thorough.She even emailed us back with details and explanations for golden retriever Piya! Another huge plus is that she is knowledgeable on natural treatments when appropriate. Would definitely recommend Dr Richmond!!! Office staff is wonderful.”

“Just adopted a dog over the weekend. I had been checking out his profile on the website so I knew I wanted him. Everyone was very nice except 1 lady. I'm assuming she was a supervisor or something. She was rude and boss to the young lady that was doing my paper work. The girl working with me was on point, not letting the bossy one get to her. My new dog is a sweetheart and is fitting in very well with his cat siblings.”
“All together I am pleased with their care and service, though I find the charges for the health care rather hefty. A few issues are that the attitude at times is not quite friendly. I get the Doctors and their team are likely often busy and may have a lot going on. Yet, I believe genuine kindness and hearing some of the concerns addressed would as well be helpful.”
“This was the only vet that would take my cat that needed urgent care. He ended up passing before we made it to there but everyone in the office was very nice and accommodating. They let me stay in an exam room for almost 2 hours to spend time with my kitty before I felt ready to leave without him. Thank you all again.”

“I love this veterinarian office. I haven’t been since the early 2000s but I needed services again and remembered having such a good experience here. So glad I went back. I live in Salinas but I’m happy to make the short drive for service I know and trust in him. I am happy to say it’s just as good if not better than it was before. I’ve had some complicated issues to deal with my different dogs over the years and they always figured it out.”
“Best vet out of 6 I have been to in the area over the past 20 years. Squeezed me in last min. on an ER situation. Took time to answer allll my questions including watching home to help further diagnose and help determine the next step. From first phone call to front desk to vet. tech to Dr. Bishop, care was AMAZING!!”
“Friendly staff, the vet was amazing and did everything do help my bird. A little pricey but I don’t mind, anything to keep my birds healthy and happy. My bird got better very quickly thanks to the vet and the after care I gave. Definitely would recommend this clinic!!”
“Dr. Arteaga is a wonderful vet and was there for me and for my fur baby Lucy in the toughest times. She is so thorough and explained everything in great detail. She is always prompt to get back to my questions immediately. She not only gave my hope for my dog Lucy, she saved my Mom’s dog Fiona as well who is doing fantastic, years in remission!! As a veterinarian myself, I highly recommend her and her excellent care!”

“Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is a pretty good place for emergency veterinary care. The place does seem to be very busy so the waiting time can be several hours. Some of the staff in the office are unfriendly and rude but the doctors and technicians really seemed to be devoted to the care of the pets. The care they provided for my little dog was very good and very caring. The only thing I didn't like was the long wait without receiving any kind of updates. Overall I rate this animal hospital with four stars. I do believe they can make some improvements to their policies and procedures as well as improving the attitudes of their office staff.”

“Although a bit pricier than others in the area, it's worth it. The staff are incredible, kind, knowledgeable and communicative. My cat was sick and they took really good care of him and even made sure he had a box to hide behind in his 'room' when he had to stay overnight.”

“I adore Dr. Herrmann and her incredible staff!! She helped me ease thru having to put a previous pet to sleep and is my go-to for any issues with my pets. She won't give you any bs and shoots straight with where your pet's health is at. If you are expecting someone to just tell you what you want to hear or, like the previous reviewer, have some wildly entitled notion that you can stop the entire functioning of her ER vet services so that you can give her uneducated "guesses" as to what you think is going on based on some simple google searches ... yea, that previous reviewer clearly found out Dr. Herrmann does NOT suffer fools or foolishness. What she DOES do, and better than any other vet i've ever seen, is get your animal fixed up and on the mend. I'm sorry for my anger showing thru in this post about something someone else wrote, but Dr. Herrmann is a saint and cussing her out in German is not something i will allow to go unanswered”
