Opened an account with OCCU more than 20 some years ago; since then - I've lived in both Boston and Los Angeles - and OCCU is still THE best bank EVER! Ross Street is my home branch. Last year (summer or fall 2023), YARELY went out of her way helping me open an account for my elderly parent - she was warm, hella patient, empathetic and absolutely the person you want working with you through sensitive matters. This weekend, JANET was just the most helpful teller with me and eased me into making a gentle transition into the 21st century re: the OCCU phone app. I wish I could remember the name of the very patient teller who supported me right before Christmas after I'd just been defrauded over the telephone by someone who had spoofed OCCU's phone number (that was a hot mess!). He remained kind and supportive as I squeaked in sad disbelief filling out paperwork. (I'm sorry I don't remember your name - there was some active trauma at the time!) Anyhow, OCCU folks are the real ones for customer support. If only the rest of the world could get their act together like OCCU...love this place!

Chris Rodriguez has been fantastic to work with. He's extremely knowledgeable and passionate about member relationship. He was able to navigate a complex issue on my behalf and remained in touch all throughout the process. 10/10

All phone numbers you are given are automated(they ask you all kinds of questions but you can't ask your questions. So I asked at the Mission Viejo office for the number I can talk to a real person, they gave me this number (714)755-5900, but guess what? it was automated, They'll let you talk(maybe) a person but I was told there's 8 minutes waiting time. So, I hang up, who wouldn't? Only thing I wanted to know was how to log on to their website(otherwise you have to go to the office each time) from my new computer, there's no other way. I was ready to give them all my personal information but they refused. It was the same reason I pulled out all my money and moved from my previous bank(Chase). Sandra D responded to my message so I sent her my message to the Emial address she left in her message but still no reply. "I was told waiting time was 8 minutes. (714)755-5900 My debit card number is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx If you want to know more please ask me. My S.S. number is xxxxxx-5984 My old computer is still working even though extremely slow. So, you can send me your message there too." By the way, I don't live in San Francisco but San Juan Capistrano. Yelp doesn't let me change my location. Don't contact Orange county's credit union. they'll ignore you.

This OCCU location is closest to my office. I wish the Irvine location was closer to my Irvine office but it's not. This one is right off of the 55 FWY and Dyer Rd. The branch is large with lots of teller windows. There is plenty of parking in the lot. The setup is a bit confusing once walking in, but I suppose it's designed that way. They also have deposit slips! I haven't seen these in a blue moon, but hey, I do most of my banking online. I happened to go to this location in order to deposit cash. Lunar New Year money needs to be deposited unless I want to lose it. Ha! I am notorious for not carrying cash if I can help it. When I need to make a deposit, I stop into the nearest OCCU to take care of it. For the most part, the branch is well maintained and the staff is friendly.

NEVER EVER mail a check to a branch location..even if you mail it from within Orange County. Good luck calling a branch directly. I have a check floating in the abyss. I guess it will be deposited after it is re-routed and the mailman sends the forwarding mail in whenever he/she feels like it. Where is the disclosure about communications . Stop sending me Life Insurance garbage and send me something useful.

Came in and was asked what I needed and got helped right away, I was greeted by Shantel at front desk super nice and sat me down with Oscar who helped me in the process of finalizing paper work for my second auto loan! Love the place and thanks to Oscar for explaining everything in detail and answering all my questions and making it a quick process and making me leave satisfied with their service!! Definitely recommend this place to my family members .

Senior Branch Representative Oscar Banon ( The Buff Cannon ) is the example of how a Manager should be in a professional business. Nothing short of perfection is what he demonstrates and performs. Extremely knowledgable, super friendly, BILINGUAL (which easily makes people comfortable), does everything efficiently with ease, makes you feel like you're talking with just another one of your own friends and made the process feel seamlessly fast. Definitely possesses what people desire that makes them want to go in to a business with confidence, joy, and satisfaction. Employees should look up to him and strive to be like him. Please take notes and have him be the standard for the company. Never had an experience in any professional business or any place for that matter like being treated with 1st class, top tier, one of kind service like Oscar did!

Gabriel over at Risk Management needs to get off his high horse and learn how to talk to people. If my money is in there and I've been a customer for many years, the last thing I need is to be talked to and yelled at like I'm a child. Talking over people when communicating that there's an issue regarding someone's account isn't helpful and therefore this phone call was a waste of my time.

I can't say enough good things about this branch. The whole staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and it's just an overall good vibe. I have to give a super special shout-out to Yanely Abundez. Not only did she make the process of opening my membership hassle free and easy to understand, she educated me on the products and services that OCCU has to offer and gave me information on how to utilize them. She was so incredibly helpful and an absolute joy to work with. I live in Anaheim, but I will absolutely commute just to be able to do my business at this location. Thank you Yanely, you're an absolute gem!
