From Frustration to Transformation — Apple’s Best Shined Through
I’m a licensed healthcare professional who originally came to this Apple Store to explore Apple’s new live translation feature — a groundbreaking tool that can help doctors and patients communicate more effectively across language barriers.
My first visit was admittedly disappointing, but when I decided to give Apple another chance, everything changed for the better — thanks to two remarkable employees.
Rafael went above and beyond to personally assist me. He spoke in his native Portuguese while I spoke in English, allowing us to authentically test the live translation feature just as I plan to use it with my Spanish-speaking patients — since traditional translator services rarely work as smoothly as they should in real-world medical settings. His professionalism, empathy, and genuine curiosity made the experience both educational and inspiring.
Then, I attended a Today at Apple class taught by Joshua, and it was truly transformative. His enthusiasm, clarity, and teaching skill reignited my excitement about what Apple technology can do to make healthcare more inclusive, effective, and human-centered.
Together, Rafael and Joshua perfectly embody Apple’s values of innovation, inclusion, and connection. What began as a frustrating experience ultimately became one of the most meaningful and uplifting encounters I’ve had as a customer — and as a clinician.
Thanks to these two gentlemen, this store has more than earned every one of these ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Alexis was very rude and demeaning. Everyone else who helped out was kind but they made a mistake on their end which resulted in me not being able to get a new phone today and told me she would only try one more time and she would have to move onto the next but was very rude about it and didn’t offer any other solution or let me know what would happen if I came back the next day and just tried to get me to leave the store.

Apple really is heartless thoughtless about human beings. They are so out of touch with reality, I informed Louis Manager that I was traveling with a child and my phone battery needs to get fixed before I fly out and if it more then two days could they give me a complementary battery pack. him and Trinele Manager the second one I called tried to sell me one. And told me I could return it in 13 days. Theses are two adult grown males up selling an Uncle traveling with a child for the first time to buy more products. I know it capitalism but we really need to take a direction away from this store and people associated with Apple no heart or wisdom

All of my credit cards were stolen and they were used by the thief to make a purchase at this store.
5000 dollars were gone, the thief tried to swipe five of my cards 10-20 times, and the staff just let that happen.
I went to them and they just say go to the police and file a report. I can’t imagine why the staff let that happen.

I made a 12:30 appointment for the Genius Bar, completed the pre appointment tasks from the email/text reminders, showed up on time - and sat for 45 minutes before anyone helped me… I was checked in and continuously told 10 minutes, you’re next in line…. I’ve lived in SB for 10 years and seen this store very busy before - this was not the case on this day. Disappointing.

I would like to thank Charlie for being patient, helpful, and kind while I was trading in my phone for the iphone 17 through an at&t plan. Even with the hiccups along the way I emerged mostly painless and had all my questions resolved, which is very appreciated. In all, I have been to this store many times over the last few years and I have not had a single bad experience, I've found all the staff to be good communicators and willing to work within my needs and on time, too :)

This Apple Store has unethical and dishonest business practices. Do not go here unless you have your device under warranty. I wish I could give them 0 stars because they don’t even deserve 1.
Here is what happened when I came in.
We went to apple first because we had an issue with our iPad and iPhone. The iPhone had a speaker issue we could not hear with the phone to the ear, but speakerphone worked fine.
They said they were going to take it to the back to clean the speaker. Then they tried to say that we needed to be replaced and it would cost $350.
We took the phone down the street to iProTech and he fixed the issue in less than a minute by cleaning the speaker (something apple said they would do, then came back and said they couldn’t) He didn’t even charge us for this.
With the iPad the Apple Store said it had a hardware issue and needed to be replaced. I showed it to the guy ant iTechPro and he ran an update and the iPad was fixed!
I will not go to Apple Store again unless I have the device under warranty. I am not sure if it is just this store or a company practice, but what they are doing is dishonest and unethical. I checked other reviews and see I am not the only one!!
Instead of paying close to a thousand dollars Apple wanted to replace the iPad and repair the iPhone we paid $57.76 total (including a new phone case) down the street at iProTech (glad we saw that sign and decided to see what they could do) Both devices work now. Something Apple said they could not do.

Had a perfectly pleasant and helpful experience with the genius bar, during which I was assured that a computer sent off for repairs could be shipped to me in another location from the repair center in the future, as I was just traveling through Santa Barbara. Another employee, on the phone, alerted me that my computer had arrived back in the store and was ready for pickup, but that it could be shipped and payment taken over the phone. I later called back with the address and payment info, only to be informed that it was absolutely impossible to complete the shipment that I had twice been assured was possible, and that I planned around. The manager, Alexis, offered no solutions, did not take responsibly for her team's errors, and did nothing to ameliorate the situation. I had a to ask a friend to pick up the computer, pay for it, and ship it. Quite disappointed in the customer service.

I visited a typical Apple Store, much like the others. I also got to try out Apple Vision, which was pretty cool—an assistant walked me through everything, from its internal components to the upcoming OS. He was super knowledgeable. But despite the impressive intro, the device itself felt limited in what you could actually do with it.
As I explored the store, every time I touched a different device, an Apple employee would pop up asking if everything was okay. It was a bit much.
I was interested in buying an iPad, so I headed to that section and started testing them out by drawing. But something weird happened—my drawing would suddenly stop working. I tried another iPad, and the same issue occurred. When I asked a staff member about it, he explained that they were demo units, which don’t have full functionality.
That kind of killed the vibe, so I decided not to buy one.

Lifesaver, had a swollen battery with a screen on the verge of snapping and was able to get it fixed in just 3h between coming in and picking it up. Alex also found out my phone was part of a batch known to have issues which led to the entire almost $300 repair being completely free! Awesome personell

Travis is a rock star, he saved me from having to buy a new computer when I was in grave trouble from purchasing repairs from non-apple non-authorized computer store. What a mistake! If I would have taken it to Apple in the first place I would not have lost my data and I would have saved a fortune! Travis, thank the good Lord helped me find my data in the cloud and locate my books which I have worked on since 2009! God bless you Travis...you lowered my blood pressure and saved the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give Travis a raise...he's so worth it! I was having a Chernobyl Meltdown until Travis saved my life.
